Soto Kuning M. Yusuf — Restaurant in Bogor

Dine in, Saturday Oct 1st 2022....11.00 am - 12.00 am. Menu: a bowl of yellow soto, half portion rice (I suggest you order a portion full of rice, it is quite small portion), two perkedels (potate and egg battered, deep fried). The soto broth is tasty, the spice is right, but I think it contains msg and quite salty. The meats are quite generous (beef, cow trotter, tongue) but in my tongue, they are a little bit chewy (you still can eat it, but it needs several minutes more to be cooked), and the soup is just warm...maybe the tavern on Saturday afternoon was sooo busy that they do not have enough time to keep the soto broth hot.

Total price: 52 k idr for the whole package (incld hot unsweetened tea). Cleanliness: Not so clean, crowded, cramped. I think I am going to taste other yellow soto tavern available at Suryakencana, such as P Yusuf (there are two Yusufs) or pak Mamad.

Other Suryakenanca tips: Bir Kotjok cart is good, refreshing and unique, the price is 5k idr, also Nutmeg or Manggo Ice for only 5 k idr. I think I was little bit scammed when a street vendor sold Nutmeg ice for 8k idr...hah ha ha...you should ask for the price first...my bad.

Lumpia Basah ( Spring rolls) price 15k idr, such a hearty and filling snack for your tummy. Find the quite clean stall near the M Yusuf Soto...it is good and...

Baru pertama ke sini, cuma mo take-away & langsung "drama" 😑 Jadi prosedurnya : pesen di pegawai depan, dicatet di bon, bayar ke kasir, balikin bon ke depan, baru dapet nomor antrian yg cuma diinfoin secara lisan. Gue dapet no 49, dicatet pegawai yg pake kaos putih. Nggak lama kemudian dateng bapak2 berkacamata & bertopi, pesen take-away juga. Dia nunggunya lebih deket sama tempat para pegawai depan yg nyiapin orderan. Di tengah nunggu anak ceweknya udah nggak sabaran, rewel. Abis pegawai neriakin no 47 & 48 yg dine-in, berarti harusnya punya gue dong berikutnya. Pas orderan gue lagi dibungkus, si bapaknya udah maju2 aja ke deket pegawai kaos ungu yg lagi ngebungkusin. Si pegawainya nanya, apa si bapak no 49, diaku2 aja ama si bapaknya. Gue yg udah siap2 mo terima bungkusan, kaget dong pas liat orderan gue malah si bapak yg bawa. Langsung gue samperin si kaos ungu, terus gue tanya, apa bungkusan itu orderan no 49? Gue bilang juga kalo si bapak itu datengnya lebih belakangan daripada gue. Si kaos ungunya pake ragu2 pula pas mo ngejar si bapaknya. Udah telanjur pergi jauh lah dia, nggak tau ke mana. Pas gue masih tetep nunggu orderan gue dibungkusin lagi, eh ada pegawai berkaos item yg seenaknya aja bilang "no 49 udah kelar, bu, udah nggak bisa dibungkusin lagi" Langsung kesel, gue ngomong rada kenceng "gue udah bayar 60 ribu!" Trus ada ibu2 yg sedari gue ngantri, tau juga pas si bapak tadi dateng bareng istri & anaknya yg kemudian rewel, bilang ke pegawai2 yg di depan itu buat bungkusin lagi. Sementara itu, yg bon no 53 take-away dipanggil2, nggak nongol2 orangnya. Keknya sih itu sebenernya yg punya si bapak penyerobot orderan gue Kalo tadi tuh sampe nggak dibungkusin ulang, padahal gue dah nunggu berdiri lumayan lama - ampir 1/2 jam - nggak ragu2 lagi pasti langsung gue bintangin 1 nih tempat. Para pegawainya mesti lebih ketat lagi kalo servis customer take-away. Mintalah si customer sebutin nomor antriannya sebelom ambil bungkusan, biar kejadian gue hari ini nggak keulang lagi. Sekalipun emang enak sotonya, tapi mikir2 lagi deh buat...
