I came here looking for Wee Nam Kee chicken rice from Singapore . So I was disappointed. I had dumplings soup, xiaobaicai and half roasted chicken and half steam chicken.
If you are not expecting Singapore Wee Nam Kee chicken rice or similar to Singapore chicken rice. The food is not bad. The nasi hainam has a unique taste, which even my son say it pretty good just different from most nasi hainam. The plain broth which is serve with the rice is tasty and typical of what you would get when you eat any chicken rice in singapore. The chicken is a little plain in taste but very tender and juicy. Eating the chicken with the sauce and rice helps.
The restaurant is beautifully designed and has a very nice old chinese tavern feel to it. The also made sure there is enough aircon to cool the place. The loft level is a great place if you have a big group just make sure they turn on all the aircon first.
If you feel like having simple chinese style chicken rice along with some chinese style food please drop in. If you are like me looking for Singapore chicken rice, please don't bother making the trip here for the...
Read moreHainan rice was good, kungpao taste like heated few times, chicken was a little rough but was oke. Tomyam soup was not chilly if you like chilly, (I don't like chilly so I liked to soup, but that's not how tomyam soup should be)

Singaporeans don't think, they only follow the procedures, if SOP says teapot served with 2 glass only, although 3 person would finish tea much faster and might order more, they can't think about it, also we could use the glasses still on the table from our soft drinks.
But nope Singaporeans only follow orders, if we were in Singapore there was no way we could get the third glass, luckily the waitress was a very friendly Indonesian who can think. She gave us a water glass.
But come on which one is more important? A glass you wash extra or a possible never...
Read moreOriginally from Singapore, this is the first Wee Nam Kee branch in Indonesia. Food quality here is well above decent, their roasted and steamed chicken is so well made. It is highly recommended for first-timer to try their chicken rice set, which is served with a generous portion of hainanese rice, a choice of either roasted or steamed chicken and accompanied with a bowl of soup.
In overall, the food that they are serving in this branch closely reassembled the taste of food you will get if you are travelling to Singapore and choose to have a bite in their restaurant. Sambal kangkong and salted egg prawn is something that you really need to try when visiting this restaurant.
For pricing, you will be looking at about onwards of IDR...
