Aquamarine Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Denpasar Selatan

This place used to be one of our favorite spots to have lunch while letting the kids enjoy the pool. However, we had an unpleasant experience when we decided to celebrate our daughter’s birthday there and made a reservation for 15 kids.

After multiple back-and-forth conversations with the staff and several chats with different admins, we finally paid the requested down payment and confirmed the booking. But on the day of the event, it was clear that either they didn’t have proper standards or were simply unprepared for reservations. The table wasn’t ready, though thankfully, a senior staff member handled the situation very professionally and accommodated us well. We were told we could use the pool until 7 PM, and at first, it seemed like the issue was resolved.

Unfortunately, while we were enjoying the pool, a housekeeping staff member suddenly closed the umbrella at our seating area, as if signaling us to leave. When we raised this concern with the receptionist, Trisna, her response was extremely rude and lacking any courtesy — something you wouldn’t expect from someone in a front office role.

Our stay at Marine Bay Sanur has been amazing. We eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the Aquamarine Restaurant each day. Putu and the staff make us feel like family and always welcome us with open arms and greet us by name. The food is beautifully prepared and presented. And the portions are perfect for our family.

They even went out of their way to educate us in the bahasa language once we showed we were interested. It was obvious from the start that an exceptional customer experience was a high priority for them, and we felt it.

A really good food and chill atmosphere. I stayed at the resort, so had plenty of time to sample all the dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good-sized portions, high quality ingredients + crafty presentation made me feel well-nourished and cared for during my stay. Menu is plentiful with share of hearty eastern-European dishes.
