❌RAW EGG WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS ❌
🚷💯DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE. Went here after hearing all about it when we were way up in Sulawesi. Finally got down to Sanur and went to get a big meal as we hadn’t been eating much up in the mountains.
We got here and the place looks gorgeous-beautiful decor, lovely big welcoming hello for the foreigners, a/c cold etc.
We ordered a mango juice which was lovely and a watermelon juice which was lovely. I asked for a mixed juice but for some reason they can’t make them? Even they though they have all the fruits?
Then for food my husband ordered Avocado Toastie. Apparently it came with hash browns, which weren’t hash browns as us westerners know them lol; it was a thin fried potato flake-see the pics how thin and untasty it was. The bread was fine, the spicy sauce was awful-advertised as hollandaise; it’s not. It was more a spicy vinaigrette.
But the WORST thing was-‼️ THE POACHED EGGS HAD RAW PARTS!‼️ see the photos and footage attached!!! this is so dangerous to eat!! ESP as foreigners!!! When I told the waitress, she told me that Indonesians eat them undercooked lol!???? I explained that I have lived in Indonesia and I’ve NEVER seen them undercooked. And that secondly, you CANNOT EAT RAW EGGS. You will get so sick. She offered to recook it, my husband didn’t want anything from there at all after that though.
Now my meal-I ordered the chicken wings, battered with BbQ sauce- the chicken meat had lots of black meat parts, which tastes awful and then the so called BBQ sauce was tasteless. So I ate two and left the other three.
We are now hungry still and disappointed. Do westerners come here and just leave 5 stars reviews because they’re so happy to have a western meal they don’t care it’s awful tasting? Where do the good reviews come from!!??
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME EATING HERE.
❌To the owners of Canvas who have replied and are trying to tell me that the eggs are supposed to be half cooked-YES the yolk in a poached egg will be runny. But the egg white is NOT supposed to be. *see the new SS I’ve added. Also see the SS where it states how dangerous it is to eat uncooked egg whites. I won’t go into how dangerous it is for foreigners in a non-western country. Secondly-I am aware why chickens have red meat like that. It’s from bruising/injuries to the animal. And it tastes awful. No one would choose that dark meat over white chicken meat.
Whilst I appreciate your polite reply, I do not appreciate being gaslit and talked to like I (and google) am wrong about these issues. In future please just resolve to cook eggs correctly and safely. And when you’re chopping chicken meat up, don’t use the bruised...

Service: The cashier was very welcoming and friendly. She works well with her teammates ensuring that all orders are correct and distributed properly. She regularly checks up on customer to ensure that they are having a wonderful experience, in which I indeed did have.
Taste: I ordered a cuppacino and smothie bowl. The cuppacino was very delightful to drink. It was not watery and had a good creamy and milky texture to it. The roasted coffee taste also stood out well, making the cuppacino very delicious to drink. The Smoothie bowl consisted of a variety of fruits. I checked each piece of fruit, and all were fresh. In terms of taste, I couldn't ask for a better smoothie bowl. There was good crunchy texture from the granola, nicely chopped fruit toppings, and a very cold smoothie filling which makes it refreshing to eat.
Interior and design: Both inside and outside is very aesthetic, so I'm sure if anyone comes here to take nice photos of their food, they will not he disappointed. The design is a mixture of concrete structure and light wood furniture, making the interior nice and bright but maintaining that cozyness vibe.
Price: The cuppacino was Rp37k, which is in the range of normal Sanur cuppacino price of Rp35k - Rp40k. All prices shown are before 15% govermental and service fee. The Smoothie bowl was Rp67k, and the portion was more than fulfilling.
Conclusion: Overall, I believe anyone who visits here will not be disappointed. It's very cute, cozy and welcoming place to be in. Whether it's just a quick grab and go, or a long stay for remote working, this cafe is...
