The place is good, some greeneries here and there so it's good for your eyes even tho it's so crowded the last time I visited.
I ordered something called Chicken Schnitzel which was quite far-fetched from German Style Chicken Schnitzel that should've been served with lemon wedges and chopped parsley. But that's okay because they didn't claimed that it was a German Style Chicken Schnitzel. The thing that was on the top of the breaded chicken was fresh, but it was confusing -- was it supposed to be salad? Or just a large amount of garnish? -- and also bland on it's own. Am I supposed to dip the chicken or the raw vegetables into the thin yellowish dressing/sauce that was in a separate small bowl? I have no idea. Again, it's quite confusing.
The yellowish dressing/sauce thingy was acidic and delicious, I tried dipping the chicken in it and it complement each other as the breaded chicken was greasy. I also tried dipping the raw vegetables and it was even better. Although being cut thinly -- for the food plating to look good; I guess -- the raw vegetable was cut too long. Perhaps they should try making the cut shorter so that it's easier to eat. On the other hand, the mushroom sauce was delish although I found some uneven lump in it. The sautéed vegetables was quite overcooked but again, it's okay.
For drinks I had a glass of Iced Cappuccino which was good and also Iced Lychee Tea which was quite watery and the "tea" wasn't really stood out.
The service was okay. Pricing is moderate, with this price range and that they charged additionally for tax and service; they can do better😉
Planning on coming back for the view and their coffee next time. Hopefully I get lucky with my food order then. The jury's still out so that's why I...
Read moreI came to this café with my family, hoping to enjoy a relaxing time in what looked like a cozy and pleasant place. Unfortunately, the experience was far from enjoyable.
From the start, the service was underwhelming. We had to go to the cashier ourselves just to place our order because no staff came to our table – not something you’d expect at a café that presents itself as a proper dine-in spot.
My wife ordered a hot lemon tea, but what she received was just a cup of lukewarm water, a squeeze of lemon, and a tea bag left on the saucer – we had to dip the tea bag ourselves. To make it worse, the water wasn’t even hot. We asked for a replacement, and surprisingly, the second one came back even colder.
I ordered a hot lime juice, hoping for a warm, comforting drink. But again, all I got was a cup of water with a small amount of lime squeezed into it. The water was neither hot nor cold – just flat and unimpressive.
The drinks were a huge letdown, and it really ruined the mood for the whole family. As for the food, it was just average – nothing stood out in terms of taste or quality.
It’s such a shame, because the place itself is actually quite comfortable. But with drinks served like this and service so inattentive, we definitely won’t be coming back. I cannot recommend this place based on...
Read moreI recently visited Loh Coffee and Eatery and tried one of their signature dishes, the Iga Bakar Saus Kopi, priced at IDR 135,000. The concept of pairing ribs with a coffee-based sauce was intriguing, and I was excited to taste the unique combination. However, I found the coffee flavor disappointingly subtle, almost undetectable. Instead, the sauce leaned overwhelmingly on the sweet side, masking any expected coffee undertones. This sweetness was a bit excessive and made it difficult to fully enjoy the dish’s intended flavor profile. I had initially planned to order a dessert afterward, but after the sugary sauce, I decided against it as I couldn’t take more sweets.
The ambiance at Loh Coffee and Eatery, however, was quite enjoyable. The space has a modern and open design, with large windows letting in ample natural light, creating an airy and welcoming atmosphere. Greenery on the walls and ceiling added a refreshing touch, lending the café a cozy, laid-back vibe. The layout offers various seating options, from intimate corners to more communal areas, making it suitable for both solo diners and groups. Overall, it’s a stylish and comfortable space, perfect for unwinding with a meal or coffee, even if the food’s flavor balance might need some...
