I've been coming back here for over 20 times I think and I can confidently say this is one of the best restaurants I've ever visited. The restaurant is well planned out and is decorated very nicely. I see the specific vibe they are going for and it's distributed effortlessly throughout the restaurant. I am a person who loves to pay attention to the details and the quality of a restaurant, and after all the times that I've come back here, it never disappoints me.
The level of consistency in their dishes is very commendable. The portion size is also very nicely done. For the lasagna specifically I had noticed a size increase the past year or two which is quite nice. The flavors of all their dishes are perfectly balanced, and blends nicely with the condiments that they offer such as the chili oil and tabasco. I would also like to point out how good their pesto gnocchi is. It definitely is my comfort food. Their pizzas don't need to be questioned. They never get it wrong from all I've ordered.
One thing I really appreciate is that they have some board games available which I think is really nice. In this day and age where we all use our gadgets, it's a nice activity to do away from electronics. Though I've never played them because my parents don't seem to be very keen of it, I definitely will if I come with friends.
I can not point out enough about the staff here. They are all very well-mannered and communicate effectively with their customers. Additionally, I'm a person that recognizes faces and I remember the faces of some of the staffs here and in the span of a few months I still see the same familiar faces which I think is such a green flag to see. I hope they get treated and paid well because they really do deserve it.
However I've had some issues with the 2nd floor. A few times where I dine there, the AC is a bit too cold and sprays right at your face. But the staff is very apologetic about it and will happily adjust it for you. As for the downstairs airflow, at some times it could be a bit warm, but they have fans which ventilate the room quite nicely. But even after both of those extremes, its always a nice experience to dine here.
One thing I would like is to see the owner sometimes hahah. Till this day I still don't know who they are but I think It'd be really nice if the owner could check up on their staff and the restaurant every once in a while to just really understand their audience and connect with the customers, if thats possible. Unless that's already been established and I've just been very unlucky to not have seen them in person then I take everything I said back and kudos to you.
I'm not anyone famous or really that significant to the world at the moment, I'm just another customer, but I hope this review means something to you guys. This really is my favorite restaurant and I would genuinely go insane if it ever closes. I can't wait to introduce it to more people. So far, I've dined here with my parents and my grandpa once. But I'm definitely going to invite my friends here one day. My next review about this place will be a lot more detailed than it already is because I just notice these things for some reason hahah. Wishing this place...

Interior, Design & Atmosphere: This place follows a rustic, Ubud-inspired interior style. The furniture and decor are well-aged and maintained wood, with deep green plants scattered throughout. It creates a cozy and homey feel. There are two seating areas: the bottom level, which is an open indoor area near the pizza fire pit, and a second level with both outdoor seating for smoking and an air-conditioned indoor area. Overall, the atmosphere is relaxed and soothing.
One criticism I would give is to perhaps watch out for the music choice. Music can easily affect or change the atmosphere; it might be better to have a playlist that complements the restaurant's ambiance. Having deep rap music disturbs the relaxed environment a bit. Perhaps country music or something acoustic would better suit the rustic interior.
Food, Taste & Price: In Bali, pizza prices range quite drastically, from something very budget-friendly like Rp50k to high-end options at Rp300k+. The challenge with creating pizza in Indonesia lies in the use of cheese and its authenticity. Indonesia is not well-equipped to produce cheese, let alone cheese that meets European standards. This stems from Indonesian culture, which does not focus heavily on dairy products or cuisine. As a result, making authentic pizza often costs a fortune due to the need to import cheese.
Mama Mia’s pizza prices range from Rp60k–Rp90k, which is a more budget-friendly option. However, despite the affordable prices, the quality is still high. The first thing to notice about the pizza is the tomato sauce; it has a good taste and texture. The second is the bread, which could use some improvement (it’s a bit too doughy and dense and needs more fermentation). Nevertheless, the value and quality of the bread are still quite good.
The main trade-off, as mentioned earlier, is the cheese. They use local Indonesian cheese, and the quantity is not very generous. This creates a slight issue with the ratio of bread to tomato sauce to cheese, which feels a bit off. It’s more like eating tomato toast than traditional pizza. Despite this, the overall taste is still quite enjoyable. I would conclude by saying that the price is more than worth it.
Service: The service is quite basic—standard Indonesian seating and ordering procedures. The staff are friendly, and there were no errors with the orders. One notable point is that the food was prepared very quickly. On the second level, there is a button you can press to call a waiter.
Overall: This place is very much worth it. The vibes, atmosphere, seating options, and food are all great. I would definitely recommend coming here with...
Read moreNice restaurant in Italian style with typical Italian food. we like the offered pizza, very thin dough and well dressed on top. Very tasty and crusty as a pizza should be. Not as cheap as local warung but prices for pizza vary between 40-65 k Irp. But you get good quality for what you pay. Juice has been fresh pressed👍👍👍. Big portions- have had 2 pizzi for 3.
