I have a friend who recommend me this place, he said it’s a good place to eat a great gudeg around Jogja. Well for me, since im not a fan of to sweet gudeg, gudeg bromo bu tekluk are one of the good one, but I don’t agree to much with the price. :)
Gudeg is a traditional food from Jogja, contain from coconut milk mixed with Jackfuit, they cooked it with a ling time to make all the ingredients dry all along with the herbs. Taste sweet, and it should be eat together with krecek, it gives you a taste of spicy in your mouth. And it also can be eat together with opor ayam and egg with soysauce.

Read moreGudeg Bromo Bu Tekluk is a legendary place to enjoy gudeg, a dish that is synonymous with Jogja’s culinary scene. Gudeg is a stew of young jackfruit, coconut milk, palm sugar, and spices, usually served with rice, boiled eggs, tofu, tempeh, chicken, and sambal krecek (spicy cow skin). Gudeg is typically sweet and mild, but at Gudeg Bromo Bu Tekluk, you can expect a spicy kick that will make your tongue tingle!
The taste of gudeg is rich and complex, with a balance of sweetness, saltiness, sourness, and spiciness. The jackfruit is soft and tender, absorbing the flavors of the coconut milk and spices. If you are looking for a unique and satisfying meal in Jogja, Gudeg Bromo Bu Tekluk is a place you should not miss.

The typical gudeg in Jogja is super sweet and dry especially sold in the morning (day time). The mid-night gudeg is less sweet, more savory and a bit moist. More like gudeg Solo rather than the typical gudeg Jogja. This is my favorite Nasi Gudeg ever. (Also try Gudeg Pawon, it has great taste also)
Gudeg Bromo got the nick name as Gudeg Mbah Teluk (Mbah in Javanese refers as designation to older people/seniors; and Tekluk means sleepy), Mbah sometimes serves customers in a very sleepy manner. So be prepared to wait your turn, it's all worth the wait. Or simply order Go-jek just by 11PM (took approximately 1 hours to queue) to make you life simply. Get GoShop for this because it's not registered at GoFood. Don't forget to tip your driver.
Price wise: cheap (worth the taste and quality) yet for local, this considered as pricy gudeg as other stall gives cheaper prices. Nasi Gudeg Ayam Suwir, Telur, Extra...
