Tottori is a great spot for Japanese fusion cuisine, offering a wide variety of menu options including rice dishes, ramen, chicken katsu, beef, and mentai, along with delicious side dishes like dimsum mentai and gyoza.
During my visit, I originally planned to try the chicken and salmon mentai rice, but unfortunately, it was sold out by the time I arrived in the late afternoon. Instead, I opted for the chicken katsu, which was served in a bowl with rice and salad. The portion was generous, and the veggies were fresh, though the salad dressing could use a bit more acidity. The free iced jasmine tea was a nice touch.
I also tried the chicken hainam, which featured a flavorful broth and well-seasoned chicken, though the chicken was a bit dry for my taste. The rice was cooked perfectly, complementing the dish well.
For sides, I ordered the dimsum mentai and gyoza. Both were tasty, with a good texture and juiciness, and considering the quality, they were quite affordable.
The ambiance at Tottori is cozy, with plenty of seating despite the space not being overly large. The open space design adds to the relaxed atmosphere. The staff were friendly and provided quick service, making the dining experience pleasant.
A solid choice for Japanese fusion...
Read moreGood taste food, with affordable price. They sell Halal Hakata-Style (?) Ramens for only 25k. Gyoza filling is good despite being small in size, but you get 4 pieces for 10k, so portion wise, worth it! There's also mentai series, both for rice-set or dumpling. The service is nice, not too quick or too long.
The setbacks is that place is small, semi stall-like with limited seatings. Parking lot is also very limited, for guests who came by car will have difficulty in parking. For motorcycle, the relatively small front part of the restaurant can accommodate around 5 bikes.
Overall, the experience is nice! Definitely recommend the restaurant for youngsters, for those who bring big families please take the spaces available as precautions so that the experience will not...
Read moreI love the atmosphere and the food. The ramen katsu combo is reasonably priced but with a big portion. It's delicious and somehow the chicken katsu is still juicy.
I recommend you to try -ramen katsu combo -karaage (this one is... super juicy.. order this when it's available doe) -gyoza (it's good, but not my favourite since the karaage is still the champion in my heart :D...
