I love its seating arrangement and the interiors. Its hospitality and health protocol is remarkable to make guests feel safe. Upon your arrival in the resto, you must check your temperature and then you choose a table for them to disinfect before you are then allowed take a seat. The waiter will give you a barcode for you to scan and make your order online. The link will show the price so you know how much to pay in total while you are ordering. Foods and beverages are served in orders: drinks, appetizers, main meals, and desserts. I like its tahu susur udang (prawn stuffed Indonesian tofu). Per portion consists of 3 pcs, all are crispy and spicy, served with sweet soy sauce and chopped chilli as well as sliced shallot (IDR45K). Nasi kendil cumi asin pedas (Indonesian spiced coconut rice with salty and spicy squid as toppings served on a rice pot) is generous with chilli and shallot and garlic. It tastes okay. Ikan gurame sambal mangga (fried carp fish with small slices of unripe mango and pineapple) is so good and crispy (IDR115K). It could be shared by 2-3 persons. Love it! This fish menu doesn't come with rice as a package so it is suggested to order one (steamed rice or Indonesian spiced coconut rice) for IDR13K. I don't like the taste of its hot tea (IDR14K), I am wondering the brand so that I could avoid it. Its iced cheese milk tea is okay (IDR31K). Btw, all prices aforementioned are tax and service excluded. Overall, we are satisfied and will return for more.

I would recommend Nasi Kendil as it has huge portion and nice Indonesian taste. I ordered Nasi Kendil Duo Rempah which contains three slices of salted egg, three slices of pindang egg, fried balado potato, rendang, garlic, onion, lemongrass and chillis. It has two kinds of rice: uduk rice and yellow rice. The yellow rice salt and umami level really fits me. The rendang is just "good" and has no dominance of its condiment but the meat is soft and tender, easy to be sliced, and does not leave any pieces in my teeth.
Other side dishes such as some sweet corn with seasoning which I also like. The seasoning taste sweet and savory, not typical "synthetic" taste. Bakwan is a quite unique as it has "beef" variance other than shrimp. However it is a bit oily.
For other dishes, I can't review as it was not mine so yeah... Looks delicious for me.
Oh one thing, they also serve "cute" iced tea with small mint leaves on the top, I guess.
The staff is friendly, serves well, and greets the customer with a warm welcome. The service is effective and punctual. The place and atmosphere are nice and has similar atmos like cafe as it has comfy and provides electrical socket in some table.
Nasi Kendil Duo Rempah costs for 76K rupiah, "cute" Iced Tea for 16K, and the sweet corn for... I forgot. The price is a bit pricey, should have about 120-150k rupiah if you include...
Read moreIt was a pleasant coincidence to find this restaurant while hanging out with my family in the underground floor extension of Margo City Depok. Located at the end of a straight line from the Old House Pondok Cina's entrance, this restaurant may look small from the outside. But once you're inside, you'll realize how spacious and comfortable, with the dominance of warm wood elements, and modern minimalist interior suitable for dining for all ages.
Talking about the signature menu, there are various type of "Rendang Warisan" (Heritage Rendang) which are seasoned quite authentically but tend to be runny and less spicy. Maybe because it was made to suit the tastes accepted by the urban society. Another menu you should try is "Nasi Berkat", which is a set of streamed white and yellow rice mixed with various side dishes such as beef rendang, homemade potato chips, urap sayur (boiled veggie salad in spicy grated coconut)...
