Rumah Budhe Coffee — Restaurant in Depok

My experience at Rumah Budhe was, weirdly memorable and special in a very good way. Located almost right next to the crossroad and built with balanced structure between glasses and bricks, Rumah Budhe provide a strange "show" of human activities at the roads. Even with all the noises outside, you won't get disturbed at all, it will feels like you're watching a TV. The café itself really a please to the eyes, not too plain nor it was too sketchy. They also provide a completely separated room between the non-smoking room and the smoking one. The only downturn, you will need an extra electric socket if you were to came with lot of companies. Architectural wise, Rumah Budhe is on the top of my coffee shop list.

The service was really nice. Staffs and baristas were all friendly and well-mannered. I ordered their signature beverage "Es Kopi Susu Budhe" and it was pretty good and balanced mix of coffee, milk and caramel.

Quite a strategic place for a coffee shop. It is located on the northeast corner of the crossroad which was formerly called "Simpang Ruwet". The chairs and tables provided are quite comfortable for just hanging out or doing some assignments. There are various kinds of menu and "Menu Paketan" starting from ~ IDR 20000. The staff are very friendly. There are smoking areas and no smoking areas which are separated by tight partitions. One of the better cafe's in Jogja. Very nicely positioned near UGM campus, tables and chairs are comfortable and not crowded like most other cafes. The coffee is tasty and well priced but the food menu is a bit basic. I think the toilet is ok, it's a squat toilet yet still clean. The staff are nice, they let me do sick rolls around the cafe and harass them (ironically of course). In terms of value, of comfy vibes, of being close to UGM, is definitely one of the better cafe's in Jogja and I hope it sticks...
