3.6.9. Shanghai Dumpling & Noodle — Restaurant in Jakarta

Came here for dinner. Several AC were down, so the temperature is quite hot. The water tap is also broken, so you can't wash your hand.

When i came, they only have 1 other guest, but food delivery took a while. I had to wait for around 20 minutes for my siomay, and another 15 minutes for my fried dumpling.

Taste wise, is pretty much standard. Nothing special that can make me back for more. The best dish i ordered maybe the xiao long bao, but again the taste is standard.

If compared to the price, i dont think its worth the price tag. For example, you have to spend 60k just for the noodle, while on other dimsum place you only spend 35K but with a better flavour.

They do have grab voucher promotion, so i recommend to buy one. If the bill value is bigger than the voucher value, the remaining bill must be settled with cash - this is so painful because there are no ATM nearby if your cash is...

I've been a customer since I was elementary school back in my hometown Surabaya. My late Grandma loved their Khou Rou noodle and my Dad loved their tauco sauce and pickle, unfortunately the sauce no longer available. My Mom loved their Shanghai Soup. Since I've moved to Jakarta I've been often going here for one particular reason... Black Chicken Soup. Always comforts me and helps my recovery from light cold or flu.
