It’s my first time come to Amania Menteng. I was looking for a restaurant that has a earthy, natural, dan comfortable ambience. Strolling trough google selection and Amania was the third options.
As soon as i stepped in the restaurant, the restaurant host, Ayu Widia greeted me. She took me around the restaurant, explaining every single of my questions really well. She was so nice, keep it up!
Some of the crews also help me out during the dinner time, Sukma, Frans, Riki, Jeri, and one guy with black batik that helped me open the Gubuk door to the fish pool was also helpful.
I ordered Nasi Goreng Kampung, Telur Dadar Pete, and Es Doger. All of the food was good.
Sukma told me that the food will be served approximately 30 mins, but i already got the food in 18 minutes (It was Wednesday anyways)
If i can suggest maybe you can give an option for the guest on the Nasi Goreng Kampung so they can pick either they want to have the Emping or Onion Crackers. I do eat emping, just a bit consideration for another guest.
Es Doger was nice, i don’t really consume sweet stuff. But this one was good and doesn’t taste too much.
The portion itself quite enough for me, because i don’t eat too much.
I sat on the third gubuk by myself, it was really relaxing, you can see everything around you is green and authentic, and somehow just very cozy.
Also it’s nice because we can feed the fish without getting charged.
I see everyone here is helpful and treating me humanly. Shout out to the team, please keep everything like this, good hospitality from the teams that i met.
I was just get off from my work and i choose the right place to eat and to rest for a moment.
Do i have any plan to comeback...
Read moreJust had a dinner with my family to celebrate my birthday and never in my life I wrote a terrible feedback in google review like this.
I booked a restaurant in one of their saung, and it really took long enough for them to take our order, the bad thing is that every time they came they will always said “sebentar ibu” until 10mins later finally they ready to take our order. Whats the point of having your “kentongan” if I rang it multiple times and you guys never heard it.
I ordered their sayur asem, but the taste is not in my expectation with the price that I have to pay. I think you’d better try something else apart for their sayur asem.
The last thing is their valet service. When we reached the location, unfortunately there’s no available space for us to park our car. Then we have no choice to use their service. And by the time we finished eating and waiting our car, they really took much time to get our car back. When I asked them why they took longer, turns out they parked our car at Ciputra 2 and our e-money doesn’t have enough credit that’s why it took much longer because they looked for other card to pay. It is very very disappointed and in appropriate behaviour to use our e-money without our consent since they didn’t told us in advance anything about this at all. They only told us that they will park our car in their valet transit space, not mentioning Ciputra 2 as well as using our own e-money.
Hopefully the management can improve...
Read moreI recently dined at this Sundanese restaurant, and it was a satisfying experience overall. The menu offered a great variety of traditional Sundanese dishes, and most of the food was flavorful and authentic.
The highlights of the meal were the ikan bakar (grilled fish) and sambal terasi—both were fresh, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked. The lalapan (fresh vegetables) served alongside was crisp and complemented the meal nicely. The portions were generous, making it great value for the price.
The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and had a traditional Sundanese vibe, complete with bamboo decor and soothing kecapi suling music playing in the background. It made the dining experience feel even more authentic.
That said, there’s some room for improvement. The service was friendly but a bit slow, especially during busy hours. A little more attention to table service would make the experience even better. Also, while the food was delicious, the nasi liwet could have been a bit warmer when served.
Overall, this is a great place to enjoy Sundanese food in a relaxed setting. I’d recommend it for family gatherings or casual meals with friends. It’s not perfect, but definitely worth a visit!
Would you like to add anything specific about the setting...
