Aryaduta Suites Semanggi — Hotel in Jakarta

I recently stayed at Aryaduta Suites Semanggi during a business trip to Jakarta, and my experience was a mix of positives and areas for improvement. The hotel offers some appealing features but also has some aspects that could benefit from enhancement.

Positives: The location of Aryaduta Suites Semanggi is undoubtedly one of its strongest points. Situated in the heart of Jakarta’s bustling business district, it provides easy access to major offices, shopping centers, and dining options. This convenience was a significant advantage for my work-related activities.

The suite I stayed in was spacious and equipped with a kitchen, which is ideal for longer stays. The living area was comfortable, and the view of the cityscape from my room was quite impressive, especially at night. The staff were generally friendly and eager to assist with any inquiries or requests, which added a welcoming touch to the stay.

Areas for Improvement: Despite its strengths, Aryaduta Suites Semanggi has room for improvement in several areas. The decor and furnishings in the suite felt dated and could use a modern update to enhance the overall ambiance. Met some Indonesian friends there for the weekend -tried to check in at 1.30pm but got a lecture from receptionist on check in time being 2pm-finally got 2 bed apartment after 2.30pm-so much for her lecture! Suite on high floor 3508? very nice-spacious and clean -kitchen fully equipped -bedding etc. very good-towels old and worn though -views great -tv stations great -tried to open the balcony but my Indonesian friends were told 250000 deposit -not sure what happened but balcony was never opened-resulted in when I used oven the fire alarm went off and security had to come anyhow. Breakfast great variety but quality so so -croissants were stale both days I had breakfast and some other food a bit dodgy ( omelettes cooked well in advance instead of to order) but restaurant was well ordered easy to get a table etc. Had issue last day where I as main key holder had to come down to sort issue with two extra breakfasts ( had not planned to have breakfast and my Indonesian friends had to wait at the door)-not sure why when reception had deposit -but was sorted out. That said all the staff we met were great -even the receptionist on check in and everyone really . Nice place overall -shopping mall across the street Plaza Semangi looks closed but there is a supermarket in the basement which is quite good -Pacific Place mall about 15 minutes walk across the footbridge on main road-but taxis easy to find and two small convenience stores in Hotel complex. Will I stay again -if my self yes -but my Indonesian friends were not impressed with being held at the restaurant door like criminals-even though issue was resolved left a bad taste in their mouths. Great 3 day stay at Aryaduta Semanggi. I stayed at Aryaduta Semanggi for the purpose of watching the DPR concert held at the Tennis Indoor Senayan. Actually there is a place that is relatively closer to Aryaduta Semanggi, it's just that I need lodging such as a house or apartment so I can do some work remotely. This apartment is very close to Plaza Semanggi so I only need to walk a few minutes from the shuttle travel at Plaza Semanggi to Aryaduta. Apart from that, this inn is also close to several other popular places such as MRCCC Siloam Hospitals Semanggi, The Newton 1, Jakarta Hospital, and the UPH Executive Education Center. If you like something related to history, culture, especially Chinese culture, you can visit the Ho Tek Tjeng Shin Temple. The facilities you get when you stay at Aryaduta Semanggi are having access to a fitness center and gym as well as access to a swimming pool. Because the inn that I chose is an apartment type, the manager also provides a refrigerator, cooking utensils, microwave and cutlery in each unit so I only need to buy a few ingredients to be processed into meals. Not to forget they also provide a washing machine and iron so I can clean my clothes every day. Every day the rooms are cleaned and tidied up by the cleaning service and visitors get 2 bottles of 600ml mineral water every day for free. The unit that I chose was a one suite bedroom which has a kitchen, dining room, living room, 1 room that functions as a work space, 1 bedroom and two bathrooms.
