Upscale Suites — Hotel in Jakarta

This is a good serviced apartment away from the noise. I had a long stay & negotiated a price directly with the establishment.||||I stayed in the Ex Studio Rm. It had a kitchenette with a microwave & large refrigerator. There is no toaster or electric jug to heat the water – however I discovered that just outside my room door, there was access to hot water through a central water dispenser. There is no breakfast available however it is easy to purchase pastries, etc & to store in the fridge & reheat with the microwave (which can also be used to heat water for tea & coffee).||||There is a very convenient (complimentary) laundry service available. On request, I was supplied with an iron & ironing board.||||There is wifi available within the room, although patchy I found the best area near the kitchen / desk.||||The staff are very friendly & nothing is too much bother. The front desk person, Alex, speaks very good English – I found it best to phone him prior to my arrival when booking direct as the website is not up to date. I know that some places have difficulty (in terms of long waiting times) for monies (eg Bond) to be reimbursed, so cash is always the best option.||||The bathroom is western style & very clean. Toiletries were supplied daily as were 2 bottles of water (I bought my own supply to supplement – easy at local supermarkets. I even found a Lawson).||||I would...

Time to make a description about my experience in The Upscale Suites.

My stay was from 29th of Dec till 21st of Jan. I booked the executive room 30m². My first impression was like wow. I didnt expect the spacious room like this. I celebrate NYE in the room, while we could do this on the rooftop. By than I didnt know about the great view of this rooftop in here.

The staff was really friendly, like if I need anything I just asked and they would give it to me/helped me out.

One time I forgot my key inside of the room and they straight away helped me out. Later that week I lost my card, I could get a new one (cost me something from my deposit though*) fair enough.

If I wanted new towels, within 5 min I had a new one. I mean Jakarta always makes me so sweaty, so Im taking a shower often.

We had the privilage that they were trying the breakfast during our stay. So that means we had breakfast like every morning. You cant choose, but its still really good. Never had a bad breakfast in my period of stay.
