Andakar Steak - Radio Dalam — Restaurant in Jakarta

Can’t believe I have never been here and supposedly this is one of those “older” steakhouses in Jakarta.

The vibe definitely “modern jadoel”, the steaks were cooked PERFECTLY and according to what we ordered. The taste has that old school delicious taste.

We ordered: Rib-Eye (imported) - med rare. Cooked perfect and the fattiness of the rib eye just melts in your mouth, french fries were crisped and the garlic green beans had the perfect crunch 10/10

Tenderloin (imported) - medium. Thick cut, but still a slight pink inside just the right doneness. The wedge fries were nicely seasoned and thick slices. 10/10

Chris Ribs - HUGE! Definitely can be shared between 2 people. The bone and meat ratio is pretty 50:50 and had a nice char. 8.5/10

Mozzarella Sticks - 6pcs, crunchy and crispy with melt in your mouth mozz. Wasn’t overly oily. Wished it came with a marinara dip but saos sambal sufficed. 9/10

*all the steaks were slathered heavily with BBQ sauce, which is why I said it has that old school touch to it, I wonder if you can order without it. It’s still delicious overall that we almost forgot the yummy mushroom sauce we ordered

** I suggest order simple drinks to these dishes, because the portions of dishes are pretty big!

The prices are unbelievably affordable, you get way more than your money’s worth. We definitely will be coming back - please keep...

One of the oldest steak resto still operating in South Jakarta area. Very easy to find, and parking is easy because they have a large parking area. This resto have 3 dining area : first floor (non smoking), indoor second floor (non smoking) and outdoor second floor (smoking) area. We had dinner at indoor second floor area, it is wide and very comfortable, they also have collections of oldie movie poster. Steak taste was average to good, enjoyable, but not the best to compared to other competitor. This resto is great for group dining and intimate chat with friend. But there are some minus that you should know before :

Steak price is very affordable, but they put very large mark up on drink price. Don't be fooled by steak price, you should check drink price before making order. They only accept payment via cash and debit card. As now (March 2020) they didn't accept payment via digital wallet (g#pay, ov#, etc). I forgot to ask the cashier about credit card payment, so I don't know about credit card. Toilet is spooky... it is located separatedly on corner of parking area. Toilet is dark and creepy.It's best go there...

We went to this place and we thought the place is closed from outside, turns out the AC is under maintenance hence the no-crowd vibe. We were escorted to the second floor and the place is quite astonishing. They have this outdoor area for smoking room and separate area for the non-smoking room. Overall ambience is quite good with this retro, movie-posters all around the place. The place is quite kid-friendly as they have mini playground on the second floor to make sute the kid is occupied with activities. We ordered sirloin and brisket and the meat is delivers as always. I don't really like the mashed potato but I love the french fries. Overall a pleasant experience with quite affordable price, will definitely consider to visit this place again...
