First time here (my oldest brother treated my whole family for our weekly dinner out, as always) and heck it really exceeded my expectations! The fish dishes were grilled evenly. Didnt leave any fishy smell, and the seasoning was well absorbed. We happened to order it with rica seasoning, and it was quite spicy (just right for me, as expected. Sulawesi cuisine FTW💯), fresh, not sweet (which is good), and savory. It wasn’t too salty, making it suitable for elderly people. Sambal terasi mangga (condiment, free of charge) was amazing as well. For the baronang fish, we had it in two flavors; salty and rica. The salty side was also very well seasoned & flavorful. Udang bawang putih had a strong garlicky taste (duh). Cumi goreng telur asin was also delicious IMO.
the staff gave thorough explanation when asked about certain dishes, were also attentive and quick in processing order. they immediately cleaned the table & frequently swept the floor to make sure the dining area stay spotless. parking attendant was helpful & polite.
Clement's famous delight aka dark chocolate ice cream was also very VERY tasty! my nephew loved the ferrero one. so, in conclusion: the food is to my liking & the service is good. we'll be visiting...
Read moreThe food was great! They serve really fresh fish with a recipe that brings out the true flavors of Makassar. The "Ikan Bakar Bumbu Rica" is a must-try. It's reasonably priced too. We had the "Ikan Kuwe" which was around 100K for about 6-8 ounces. The "Kepiting Soka" was a bit bland but still okay. It might not be to everyone's taste, but it's typical Makassar style. The "Kangkung Cah Terasi" was fresh and delicious. The total cost was around 150K per person, excluding tax.
The place is a bit cramped, especially during peak dinner hours on weekends, but it's bearable.
Parking can be a bit of a challenge due to limited space, but the parking assistance does a good job of managing it.
Overall, I highly recommend this seafood restaurant in...
