Bakmi Bintang Gading Mediterania is a solid spot for bakmi lovers, especially those who crave authentic and flavorful Indonesian-Chinese noodles. Here’s a detailed review:

Atmosphere:

The restaurant has a cozy, casual ambiance that is perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed meal with family and friends. It’s clean, well-organized, and has a laid-back vibe. While it doesn’t scream fancy, it definitely has a welcoming neighborhood feel.

Food:

The bakmi here is the star of the show. The noodles are well-cooked, with just the right amount of chewiness. Toppings, especially the pork and chicken, are seasoned to perfection. One of the highlights is their use of generous portions of toppings, including flavorful minced pork, char siu (barbecued pork), and chicken, all of which add layers of umami. The broth, in particular, has a depth of flavor that complements the dish nicely.

If you’re not a noodle person, there are other great options like their dumplings and soups, which also stand out for freshness and taste. Vegetables are well-cooked, maintaining their crunch, and the side dishes have a home-cooked feel.

Service:

The staff is friendly and efficient, making sure customers are served promptly. It can get a bit crowded during peak hours, but the team manages well even when it’s busy. They are knowledgeable about the menu, making recommendations if you’re new to Indonesian-Chinese cuisine.

Value:

For the quality and portion sizes, Bakmi Bintang Gading Mediterania offers good value for money. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the generous servings.

Overall:

Bakmi Bintang Gading Mediterania is a must-visit if you are a fan of Indonesian noodles or looking to try an authentic dish. It’s a great place for comfort food that hits the spot, and the friendly service just adds to the experience. Expect hearty portions and robust flavors that will keep you...

Either the quality have declined since the last I came or they just had a bad day. But the service was very long. I ordered fried rice and the table beside me who came later than I am ordered, received their noodles, and finished eating then my order came. And they are a table of 4 while I was just by myself.

The fried rice itself was not so good the rice was a bit overcooked, the taste was more toward bland, and the toppings was not mixed properly and looks like it was just clumped together.

I also ordered fried meatballs which came swiftly in the beginning but it was already left in the open for long. It was not crunchy but a little rubbery. Too bad I already ordered 3 of them.

I've had better in the past. It's been a while since I came to this place so I'm not sure if it's just today or it's been like this for some time. Hopefully they improve their standards and...

This place offers good tasting foods. It has a diverse choice of food. Personally I would usually order the noodles. They also offer two choices of noodles the small noodles and the ujung pandang noodles(more thick), but both has the same taste. I like both but I prefer eating the small noodles as eating it the ujung pandang one needs alot of effort. They also have 2 choices of meat, boiled chicken and charsiu pork, and you can mix both. Both have their unique taste, so I prefer have them mixed. In addition, the restaurant is also very convinient and polite workers. I myself just recently tried it for the first time, about a month ago, but now I eat at this place at least 3 times a weak. I feel that this might be the best noodles I have eaten in my life. I rarely write something this long, it is because I want to share the delicious foods that this...

Pangsit Mie Bintang Gading delivers exactly what you’d expect from a classic Bakmi experience — simple, flavorful, and satisfying. The noodles are cooked al dente with the right springiness, not too soft, not too hard. Topped with shredded chicken, charsiu-style meat, and a crispy pangsit goreng, each bite has a nice balance of textures. What really stands out is the seasoning: light yet savory, letting the natural flavor of the noodles shine without being greasy or overwhelming. The complementary soup served on the side is clear and refreshing, with fresh greens that cleanse the palate perfectly. Overall, it’s a comforting bowl of noodles that feels homemade yet well-crafted. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you’re looking for a hearty, no-fuss pangsit mie that hits the right notes.

Bakmi Bintang Gading was a lifesaver when I realized that it was open late. They're open until 11! The bakmi halus (small portion pictured) has a great texture, the broth is soothing savory deliciousness and the pork is a little sweet adding a nice contrast of flavour. I've tried the swokie panggang which were a bit crispy on the outside and filled with lightly seasoned ground pork and cabbage. Tasty! The nasi goreng spesial ujung pandang ( the red fried rice) is also yummy, though I recommend seafood over pork. The pork was too sweet for my taste in that dish. Overall Bakmi Bintang gets two thumbs up. It hits the spot when you're getting back to Gading after fighting through traffic and you need a bite before going home.
