It's been a while since my last restaurant review😊😊. Since physical distancing is the new normal, any health protocol related on the restaurant is also considered in my coming review. Let's get to it 👏👏
In the front door before entering, they prepare hand sanitizing spot, a plus point. In the inside, the table arrangement also supporting physical distancing another good point. Now the menu, since this is seafood restaurant and focus on grilling stuff, you may notice a lot of smokes, a good kind off smokes and smell lingers around.
One of the first thing you need to ask before ordering, is the fish size. the staff will tell you the available stock of fishes on your choice. Fortunately, we got a good stuff, each fish is relatively fresh and weight around 800 - 850 gr. The staff told us normally this king of size is for 3 - 4 person. So PLEASE ASK THE SERVING SIZE FOR FISH before ordering !
This time me and fam ordered ikan Kuwe (Trevally) and Baronang (Rabbit fish) (CMIIW, anybody, please and thank you), both grilled, Kepiting soka goreng tepung with Saus padang (deep fried Soft shell crab with Padang sauce, spicy sweet and sour sauce), Cumi bakar kecap (grilled squid with sweet soy sauce marination), Daun dewa (stir fried leaf of God, Gynura divaricata) as the veggetable side dish and also rice. Every person will get 2 condiments, sambal and flavored sweet soy sauce. I think the sambal is stir fried chilli and tomato, its not too spicy and the sweet soy sauce is mixed with bird eye chili and shallots.
When the seafood dishes came, it's garnished with Jeruk limau (lime), i think this is provided for reducing the fishy smell. The Grilled fishes, the GRAIL, of the menu here, tasted fresh, almost no fishy smell, juicy, it's just a great main dish ! It's grilled with their special marination for grilling.
The deep fried soft shell crab is crispy on the outside, soft in the inside. It's actually served in deep fried tempura kind. While the sauce, i think they put a bit too much msg. It supposed to be sweet, spicy sour, but the savoriness is overpowering the supposed taste. Also, the last time before my current visit, i tried the salted egg sauce, is also not good enough. it's just meeh, you may want to try other sauce on your visit.
The squid, it's a little bit tough. They grilled the squid already on cut pieces, i think this is why the texture is not proper good squid texture. Taste wise it's good though.
The Daun dewa stir fry, is okay too. Savoury, salty, a touch bit spicy enough to accompany the seafood. that's the dishes wise.
The service time is quite fast IMO, big 800 gr fish would take +- 15 mins, the other seafood is faster. The Serving staffs using masker, this is a must nowadays. Also, since now ppl order online more than ever, they do also accept order via gojek and grab app.
The area, inside it may handle about 7 long tables, about 5-7 ppl per table (might need to ask their actual capacity though, since they do follow health protocols). Also since this is closed space with ac around, please do keep your mask on whenever possible (the air circulation wise). The parking space, 5 - 7 cars. The downside of parking in front of the restaurant is direct facing of the grilling station, your car might smell smoky for a bit, LOL.
Price wise, we ate for all of those for around IDR 700k, about USD 50 (per Feb 26, 2021 rate), Middle high to high price range. For what we got, the quality and quantities i think it's worth it. This is the kind of restaurant that we rarely visit, just on some special occasion wise, at least for me.
I never really have any complain so far every time i ate here. So, 8/10 ! Recommended. Stay safe and always follow the health...

I have been a regular to WIRO SABLENG 212 KELAPA GADING in Jakarta that specializes in local Indonesian seafood, this is my 17the year and counting…when im in jakarta i make sure to visit this sea food paradise especially with a particular focus on crab prepared with enticing flavors such as pepper sauce and Padang sauce. This culinary haven also offers a delectable selection of grilled prawns, grilled fish, and a variety of other mouthwatering seafood dishes. Here's my review of this hidden gem.
To kick off my meal, I always opt for the signature dish: Indonesian crab with pepper sauce. The crab was cooked to perfection, with succulent, tender meat that practically melted in my mouth. The pepper sauce, with its harmonious blend of flavors, added a delightful kick to the dish without overpowering the natural sweetness of the crab. It was truly a culinary masterpiece that showcased the rich flavors of local Indonesian cuisine.
Next, I decided to explore the Padang sauce option. The crab bathed in this aromatic, slightly spicy sauce was a revelation. The Padang sauce, known for its robust and complex flavors, beautifully complemented the freshness of the seafood. Each bite was a burst of tantalizing sensations that left me craving for more.
Moving on to the grilled prawns, I was impressed by their sheer size and the smoky aroma that filled the air as they sizzled on the grill. The prawns were perfectly cooked, retaining their natural juiciness and tenderness. The restaurant's seasoning showcased the prawns' flavors, enhancing them with just the right amount of seasoning that didn't overpower the delicate taste of the seafood itself.
Finally, I couldn't resist trying the grilled fish, which turned out to be a highlight of the meal. The fish was incredibly fresh and flaky, with a subtle smoky flavor from the grill. The accompanying sauce, thoughtfully crafted to enhance the fish's natural taste, provided a burst of tanginess and a hint of spices that left me thoroughly satisfied.
Throughout my dining experience, the restaurant's attentive and knowledgeable staff ensured that I had a memorable time. They were more than happy to provide recommendations and offer insights into the local seafood specialties, making the entire meal a delightful journey of discovery.
