I know the atmosphere is nice, but imagine arrive at 1.00pm, not that crowded since some of the lunch pack already finished. asking for drinks for 3 times and no one give it for 50 minutes (I first asking for drink at 1.38pm, see how patient and well mannered I was...)
But they take it for granted and still not give me and my elderly dad any drinks, while we seat in shades, and got some direct sun on our head...
well, my patience is burn with the heat of Jakarta, and I keep asking about my drinks until I get up around 1.50 to get it myself from the kitchen if they cannot deliver, and the other table that arrive 30 minutes after me already served... and finally after some time i stood up, they give the drink and I overheard that they DID NOT WRITE my order... how horrible is that...
whilst we are finish our drink they did apologize but as I said, my patient is burned already, so I just want to leave at 2.00pm but they about to give my food, see how fast they actually can process the order...
BUT, again, we are starving, dehydrated and it's so hot, so we just want to leave. They say they want to take out my food but I don't need it anymore since I already full eating my saliva right... and I just want to pay... again, I clearly say I want to pay for what I have served, the drinks. But they did no allow me and says it's complimentary. But disappoint customer need no compliment and just want to pay what I have served. AGAIN, they make things difficult because they do not want my money as I do not want their food. But I do insist 'till they accept it. and for me, it's a mark of time stamped that I finally leave with empty stomach at 2.04.18 pm.
There my very honest review and I really hope none of their customer got the same treatment as me.
I wasted 1 hour 4 minutes of my precious time with my dad here, and make him disappoint and trauma to come to warung style resto, since the service is...
Read moreLet's start with the "How can you go here" from Mega Kuningan, turn to Guru Mughni, go straight, then turn left. Go slow, you'll find a small opening to a smaller street on the right side. There's Bebek Perdikan sign on the electrict post.
There are parking lot beside that opening, but only until around 5 or 6 PM. After that you need to park your car elsewhere.
Go straight to the end of that smaller street, you'll see a small door on the left side.
Once you enter, the place is way bigger than you'll think it will be.
A "javanese kampong style" eatery. You can see joglo (or limasan?) With seat and table for eating. Behind that joglo, there are another few tables more but without awning, small bamboo grooves grew along the wall and dead centre you can see open windows leading to kitchen.
Pick your seat, then the kind lady or lads will come and gives you the menu to look at. Choose you food and drink, then let the kind lady or lad know what you pick.
As the name sugest, their best and most popular food is the duck.Bebek Perdikan is fried duck with "sambal bawang", Bebek Kepayang is fried duck with black sauce and sambal (Bebek Madura), Bebek Sambal Hijau is exactly that.Fried Duck with green chillies sambal. The fried duck is crispy, so for some the taste might be too dry. Sambal bawang is spicy enough, burn the tongue but you can still enjoy taste of other ingredience.
Fried sides are also ok and tasty. Mendoan is as you guest it, half fried tempeh covered with batter. If you prefer more of a crispy type of tempeh, pick Tempe Tepung then.
The ice tea taste are different. I guess they use javanese tea. Tea have a bit of jasmine aftertaste. In this hot and humid weather, a big glass of cold sweet ice tea is heaven sent.
Good place and good food with reasonable price, whats...
Read moreBebek Perdikan, a hidden gem nestled in the bustling cityscape of South Jakarta. The restaurant is a refreshing retreat amidst towering buildings and lush bamboo trees. This unique setting provides a cool and serene atmosphere, even under the scorching midday sun.
The attention to detail in the design is commendable. The place is adorned with well-maintained antique accessories and furniture, strategically placed to enhance comfort. A series of spotless mirrors further adds to the ambiance, creating an illusion of spaciousness.
The Bebek Bacem Bakar Perdikan was impressive, boasting a delightful sambal terasi that elevated the dish. The Bebek Goreng Perdikan hit the mark with its perfect crispiness on the outside, while still retaining moist, tender meat on the inside. Each bite was a harmonious blend of textures and flavors.
The Sayur Lodeh was absolutely on point, with a rich coconut milk base that delivered a burst of flavor. The condiments were perfectly balanced, complementing the dish wonderfully. The Karedok, with its aromatic and flavorful peanut sauce infused with kencur, was a standout, adding a delightful kick to the meal. However, the Tempe Bacem was slightly on the sweeter side for my taste.
Bebek Perdikan offers a remarkable dining experience with a mix of hits and minor misses. The positive: outstanding ambiance, thoughtful design, and several standout dishes that are sure to please your palate. The minor drawback: the Tempe Bacem could benefit from a slight reduction in sweetness. Nevertheless, it's a place I'd highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy traditional Indonesian cuisine in a charming,...
