Din Tai Fung — Restaurant in Jakarta

Searched online at the official DTF Indonesia website and found my favourite dan dan noodles. Went to living world and was disappointed to realise that it was removed long ago, shouldn't the official website be updated long ago as well?

The vege and chicken in crispy bean curd skin is terrible, dish is served oily and the skin wasn't crispy at all, it's soggy!

Had to order beef noodles and spicy wantan noodles than and really? Overcooked soft soggy noodles? I'm very sure it's supposed to be done al dente with that springy and chewy touch...

The soya bean milk is diluted and tasteless, seriously? Why would a branded restaurant like yours serve such a drink? Or you simply didn't bother with the water to soya beans ratio?

Overall I feel that no one bothers to maintain the standard of the restaurant and they simply just allow the chefs to cook their own way.

I recently ate at Din Tai Fung MOI and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the fried rice and the sweet and sour chicken—and let me tell you, both were absolutely delicious. The fried rice had that perfect wok-hei aroma, and the sauce on the chicken was the ideal blend of tangy and sweet. It really exceeded my expectations.

What really stood out, though, is that this branch is 100% halal—which is not always the case with Din Tai Fung outlets in other countries. For example, even though Malaysia is a Muslim-majority country, Din Tai Fung there still serves pork. But here in Indonesia, the entire menu is halal-certified, which gives peace of mind to Muslim diners.

Mantabzzzzz ... Unfortunately I was too eager when the food came and forgot to take any photographs ... The best Truffle fried rice ... Hang on the only place I know with this type of Truffle fried rice ... 3 types of eggs vegetables and of course the noodles ... Notable noodles of Din Tai Fung ... The Xiao Long Bao not so as there's no lard here ... Halal restaurant! Service a tad cold here but I like the food and will tolerate a bit of service indecencies so long as it doesn't ruin my appetite. What i did not like are their plastic toothpicks ... Don't these Taiwanese care about cutting down on single use...
