El Profesor Steakhouse - Urban Forest Cipete — Restaurant in Jakarta

When I said Grill?, I imagined other dishes and flavors, like other Grills in this city and the world… it is a local bar with normal dishes and some meats, if we see it as local, it is normal, it is good. My partner ordered the dish in the picture, the flavor and texture were good, nothing magnificent or interesting, (and that is not a Russian salad as they say, it is a small puree with some pieces of carrot) 250k, plus another salad that was good, and like the menu itself, it did not seem attractive to me, it is very common and scarce for a grill house… something told me that mm… so I only added a meat sandwich “” the menu said, which the truth is I did not even take photos like I usually take of everything, because it was an old hard bread, toasted, with 4 meat sandwiches per side of bread, green leaves, tomatoes and oil on the bread… I left some of the bread and finished the rest, since it was tiny, and I wanted to eat… so then I ended up eating a huge ice cream in another place in that small...

They dont provide stars for who we eat with????

This time i have the honnor to have dinner with great people, so we prepare for a special place with incredible food and we choose El Professor...

The special menu is Tomahawk Steak, we ordered 1.2kg for 5 people (you have to add side dish like mashed potato or fries or salad). This is the first time for me to eat steak with level medium rare to medium. No need for any sauce, its perfect already (but if you prefer for sauce, they will provide; such as bbq, mushrom, blackpeper and 1 more... forgot the name) We also try for the maranggi satay, actually i will be back to try the local food, they have a various menu also. At the and, the special guest recomend ti have a wine for us... new to me also... learn how to taste it, how to hold the glass and why... (maklum, orang ndeso). One more, this special resto is located at a special forest in Cipete, there are a lot something new to...

Worst steakhouse i've ever been to. Staffs are rude and unhelpful. No reception table so we were left wondering around, we somehow got lost into their kitchen area (WHICH WAS COVERED IN GLASS AND HAD EMPTY SEATS SO IT LOOKED LIKE A RECEPTION AREA) and here's a convo that happened

Me: halo, ini meja resepsionisnya dimana ya? Saya mau duduk untuk 2 orang... Staff : penuh. Ini area kitchen. (Dengan nada ketus lalu berbalik badan)

Gave us the ugly look and no solution. Turns out the indoor area was HALF EMPTY so what the staff said was a complete bluff, i expect to get a good hospitality but what i get is an experience closer to karen's diner 😂 after the incident we were (again) left wandering around with no staff assisting us to any seat possible, me and my partner got turned off by the poor service so we just order whatever. Food is alright but i won't be coming back unless i want to be treated like a complete...
