Read moreThis place is hidden inside a ruko, and parking-wise is very convenient. From its surrounding, this looks like a rather low-key coffee shop. Once I entered, I found this place to be fairly spacious. However hardly any personal-sized tables appropriate for solo working, with proper height. I ended up sitting on a stool next to a long, shared table, which I'm not a huge fan of.
Interior design is superficially nice with black accent and some exposure to natural light. However I feel like the atmosphere's a bit too noisy even when there were not too many guests around. Idk, perhaps it's combination of the background music and people's chatters. Not a good place for solo working. More for casual hang outs and chit chats.
I ordered Flat White and a Spaghetti Matah Aglio brunch for a combined 94k, which is not that expensive. Their coffee is decent, and the way they use milk was appropriate. Their spaghetti was combined with sambal matah and aglio olio, and I felt like it was too oily for my liking. Portion was relatively small too. Still, a decent brunch companion I would say.
If you live around Kemayoran/Sunter/Klp Gading, and you're looking for a nice place to hang out, this is one alternative you should consider. But if you live outside this neighborhood and look for a quiet place to work, don't make the same mistake I did by going the distance...
Read more-1 star because of how noisy it is. They may be using sound-deadening materials in the ceiling but it isn't enough. I can hear dozens of conversations bouncing around the entire cafe and getting amplified by the hard surfaces (floor, etc.). It's a Friday afternoon so maybe it's busier than usual - the place seems at around 70% capacity.
My seat was against the wall and I'd rate it 5/10 for comfort - the marble topper stabs you in the back when you sit here. I appreciate the privacy blinds. They allow the cafe to squeeze in more people. The AC was comfortable and not noisy. The cafe smelled fresh and cool.
Prices seem a bit high (around 50k for a basic v60 coffee, including service/tax). I've found prices half that much in the vicinity in other cafes. Perhaps this cafe is trying to project a luxurious vibe and has set prices to match? - I'm not sure. For a coffee aficionado like me, I see nothing too extraordinary here: the same commonly used local beans, the same methods, etc.
As for my coffee: it was Papuan arabica. It was alright. The grinder could've been sharper as I still feel the coffee debris on the back of my tongue and the coffee is a big more opaque than ideal, but still, not bad for a delicious cup of manually brewed arabica.
Will I be back? Maybe, if I'm in the area and don't find a more comfortable...
