Garuda restaurant is a popular place to enjoy authentic Padang cuisine in Jakarta. The restaurant is located on Jalan Haji Agus Salim, near the cultural center of Taman Ismail Marzuki. The restaurant has a spacious and comfortable dining area, with traditional decorations and friendly staff.
The menu offers a variety of dishes from West Sumatra, such as rendang, sate padang, ayam pop, gulai otak, and many more. The food is served in a buffet style, where you can choose your own portions and pay according to the number of plates. The food is rich in flavor, spicy, and satisfying. The sambal hijau and sambal merah are especially delicious and complement the dishes well.
Garuda restaurant is a great place to experience the diversity and richness of Indonesian cuisine. The restaurant is open from 9 am to 8 pm every day, and the price is reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. I would recommend Garuda restaurant to anyone who loves Padang food or wants to try something new...
Read moreJust dined at Garuda Padang restaurant in Cikini and I must say, it was a good experience overall. Being aware that Garuda is one of the top-tier Padang restaurants in Indonesia, my expectations were high. I ordered the nasi rendang that came with vegetables and Garuda's signature potato chips, the meat portion was generous while the rice portion was moderate. The taste was simply incredible, just like it has always been. The food was always savory and mouthwatering. Additionally, I also ordered jangek (cow skin) crackers with kuah, and I was pleased to find that the portion was plentiful, but the amount of the kuah they gave us was just right. The restaurant was always crowded, but the service was prompt and responsive. However, parking was a bit difficult to find, but luckily, we were able to secure a spot near the restaurant. The parking fee was paid using e-money, which was quite...
Read moreLocated just across taman ismail marzuki. Food tastes nice, it was unlike other Padang Restaurant with spicy seasoning, this restaurant offers you a friendlier taste to your palate. Even if you are foreigner i think you can eat here without worrying avout 'the rendang and the sambal is too spicy', they make it nice, just enough kick. For Indonesian tongue perhaps it was not at all spicy, BUT, point was the food were all tastes nice. We tried gulai kepala kakap, Rendang, udang balado, ayam pop, sate padang and gulai ayam. We wanted to try more, so maybe we will come back. Staffs were friendly. Resto were clean. For muslims there is a Mushalla (small masjid) just in the parking area for you to catch thr prayers, the mesjid was very clean and convenient too. Too bad i forgot taking pics. Will update my review when i...
