so far, this is one of the greatest pork noodles in town!! noodle is good, well timed cooked and the noodle it self already savory.. the broth is pretty nice, but not too special.. dumplings is also good, especially for the wonton (pangsit), for me, it's better than the pot stickers/gyoza/kuotie/ , but this is up to your taste.. Anddd da best parttttt isssss, the PORKSSS.. why I put many S(s) behind the "Pork"? because, it iss, sooo generous!! the pork is not just generious, but they ARE sooo delicious!! it's so tender and juicy! it contains of Chasiu (this one i think is being coated with honey or something sweet (in liquid) all along the baking/grilling process, makes it sooo tender and juicy, unlike most of the chasiu in other places where the meat is often so dry), and then Siobak or Crispy pork belly (this one also tender, savory, not over seasoned, juicy, just perfect) and last but not least, the minced pork with soy saucing (modest, but so well balanced for the sweet and savory taste, juicy, can never skip this one also).. What values it the most, is the price.. for a so generous and super delicious dish, the price is not over kill, not too pricey, just perfect.. I've never been so happy in my food journey...
Read moreThe first time Bakmi Holiaw opened was in this outlet at Kopyor Raya Street, Kelapa Gading that is located in a residential area where there are lots of restaurant and food stall along the street. Street parking is available along the street as well. Bakmi Holiaw provides variant of noodle and rice menu with the toppings that we could choose, such as pork, chicken, and duck.
Here are what I tried :
Mie Bebek Panggang Wonton (IDR 45,000) Noodle served with the sliced soft and tender roasted duck, two pieces of steamed wonton, and vegetables. Although the roasted duck has a soft texture, but it is a bit hard to chew.
Mie Campur (IDR 55,000) This is the right menu if you want to enjoy the noodle with the complete pork toppings. Mie Campur consists of noodle, chasiu pork, roasted pork, chicken, and vegetables. All of the meat toppings are tender.
Nasi Tim (IDR 29,000) If you want a quick and simple dish with generous portion, then Nasi Tim could be a good choice to have just like me. It is so simple to re-heat it again at home by steaming it. The combination of rice with lots of pork and chicken toppings has...
Read moreFinally I have a chance to try this legendary noodles! Every time I visit them, always sold out or have long queue, so this time I came earlier, no queue & they still have complete menu. Ordered the mie campur special with "karet" type noodles size XL & fried pork meat ball (bakso goreng), the noodles it's has nice flavors, the texture not all dente but still ok, the portion is decent, the way they put all topping is so nice for IGers / photos. The bakso goreng is nice crispy & chewiness is just right, they fried it fresh when we ordered. The downside for me is some of the pork meat topping are hard to bite, I like my pork tender & juicy, then the place is hot & small, can't imagine during peak hours, lucky when I arrived...
