One of the recommended places to have what Koreans declared as "Chinese Noodle".
The place is not very flashy from the outside, but i guarantee you won't be disappointed.
They have wide variety of menu, and i think the most popular would definitely be the 짜장면 and 짬뽕. Feeling torn on what to choose? Don't be. They have a menu where you can have the best of both like in my pic.
They also have a 왕돈까스 (read: King of Donkatsu) and Jjajangmyeon package. Be prepared to be very full once you finish them all. It comes out with kimchi soup as well.
The taste of the 짜장 is very similar to those in Korea (and on a good restaurant too). They put some meat in it. The 돈까스 is very good. The meat is on the right thickness, it's not easily disintegrate. The sauce however, not the way i like, but doesn't mean near anywhere bad. Actually, it's because it's a bit on the sour side, but probably it's to balance the fried layers. Honestly, even after i ate them all, there's not a single oily aftermath taste remained in my mouth. So, i guess that's the reason why they made it so. The 탕수육 is also good.
The price is also surprising. It's cheaper than most Korean restaurants here in Jakarta, especially considering the portion they give. All of this, without any sacrifice on quality.
Two thumbs up to the place. Very recommended to those of you who loves Korean's...
Read moreA delicious Korean Restaurant in Gading. Their speciality is their noodles & i love them all!! Especially their spicy seafood noodles. The portions are big! You can share it with your friends & families. Well, unless you have a big appetite & hunger, maybe you can finish it all. ^_^. But we've tried their pork Tangsuyuk, the taste is so-so. I think it's less salty & taste. You'll get a free refreshing cold ocha for your drink & it's free refill also! They don't provide lots of side dish & have a different kind of kimchi, but it tastes great! After you've finished your meal, they will give you a dessert (i don't know the name of the food. Ahahaha), it is a very sweet grilled sweet potatos. If you like sweet dessert, you'll definitely like it. But it's to sweet for me. Nevertheless, it's worth it to come back again for their noodles to share...
Read moreOwned by a Korean and mostly crowded with Koreans, this noodle restaurant is recommended for enjoying the best Jjajang Myeon! When we came here to have dinner on a Sunday evening, the restaurant was crowded, but luckily we still got a seat.
Besides their recommended Jjajang Meyon (black bean paste noodles with minced pork), Holy Noodle also serves Jjampong (seafood noodles), rice dishes, tteokpokki, pork and beef tangsuyuk, and many more. The food portion here is quite big, so if you come with a companion, it's a good idea to order some dishes, then share them together.
We could also ask for the complimentary caramelized sweet potato. I've been to Holy Noodles not long after their opening several years ago. I could say that their caramelized sweet potato was more delicious and...
