Pizzeria Cavalese MOI — Restaurant in Jakarta

Great food & ambience, definitely one of the best Italian restaurant in town. They have an assortment of pizza toppings ranging from classic Margherita (tomato, basil, and cheese - pretty much the benchmark of Italian pizzeria) to intriguing (or eyebrow-raising) fusion pizzas like Salted Egg or Chicken Betutu. And they have truffle dishes too. Disclaimer: the following food recommendations are based on my preferences, YMMV. Among the Antipasti / appetizers, try balancing the guilty pleasure of "Pull Apart" (pizza dough, salami, and mozzarella) and any of their salad options. The pizza is thin, with generous topping and cheese. I prefer this kind of pizza instead of the more common, bread-like Chicago style / pan pizzas. My favorite Italian sauce is Pesto Genovese, and it's rather hard to find a decent Italian restaurant serving great Pesto Genovese pizza or pasta in Jakarta - but now I can eat happily since Pizzeria Cavalese has several of them! I recommend pizza Pollo alla Genoa (chicken, mushroom, and pesto - a direct competitor to Pizza Marzano's Pollo é Porcini alla Genovese) and La Spezia (Shrimp, Pesto, and green chili - Italian "Sambal Ijo") for those who loves it spicy. Other pizza worth mentioning is the Pepperoni Stellata (star-ish octagonal stuffed crust pizza with ricotta) and the cream-based Piedmont. They also have a nice selection of desserts - my family chose Profiterole, Tiramisu, and Puffy Mela (apple pastry w/ cinnamon and ice cream), all of them are delicious but a little too sweet for my tastes. Diabetics beware! Prices may seem a little steep, but it's actually not that expensive given the taste, toppings, and the whole experience. Oh and currently (Sep 29th, 2019) they have a promotion for 2 pizzas (2 small for 90k, 2 large for 160k, excluding the Stellata, Piedmont, and BBQ Manzo). Drinks are not refillable except for Twinings hot teas. Prepare about Rp 100-150k per person for a really sumptuous meal. Staff's quite friendly and helpful, though a little minor "flaws" can happen (like one appetizer coming way after the main dish is served - it's not that we waited for too long, only the order of serving is somehow jumbled) but I don't make a fuss over it. This is not a fine dining joint. Summary, it's not a "true authentic" Italian restaurant per se, but definitely a great restaurant with great Italian food (with some daring fusion crossovers). Perfect for Italian food lovers, and anyone who's tired of the common American-style pizzas and want to try something new. 10/10 would come back here again to taste the other pizza/pasta in the menus. Eat lunch here with my officemate and we have a fun experience. Today there was lunch packet for 1 pizza/pasta + ice/hot tea amount 59.900 We received free snack and ice cream too! Much thanks to Mr. Rian for assist us. He is really funny, kind and approachable ^^ As picture attached, we order Eat Meet West (pizza with slice beef and spinach) and Old Style Latte (love it so much!!!). We order 3 pastas (Al Ragu, Calda, and Seafood Marinara) and Little Mexican Pizza too but sadly there is no picture because my lunch time almost over (we gotta eat as fast as possible) But they taste really good, Calda with Tuna and sambal matah was spicy but addicted. Al Ragu has bolognese style have a classic taste and Seafood Marinara used fresh prawn, calamari and salmon. Little Mexican Pizza is our favorite.. we always order it when eat here. Order it if you curious! If you come here, used your time wisely, because they need 20-30 minutes to serve your food, if your lunch time only 60min like me, u should eat fast. Anw, today I come with my 3 friends, if you come by yourself maybe it will be faster. I still recommend you all to come here and the vibes of restaurant is good too. Found out this place from tiktok, placed om S+ tier rank as a one of the best pizza in jakarta. Thank God I can try it within a week to make sure about people's statement, and I think it's true.

Pizzeria Cavalese serve "real pizza", not a bread pizza, taste real good, and all the toppings is not over both in amount and seasoning, all is balance. And surprisingly this place have their pizza cheaper than the most famous pizza restaurant in indonesia.

They have another menu, pasta, fries, and another side dish, and a lot of fancy drinks and even beer and wine. What a good place to talk with friends and even good dining place.

The restaurant is divided into two part, one is pet-friendly and they allowed the dog to sit on the chair. Another part is normal part for those who wants to eat without a dog on their sightseeing.

Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos here, an excitement make me forget to take some pic. I wish I could come to this place again soon, since this place is really far away from my home.
