Been so curious to try Jiwon Galbi 지원갈비, so finally I decided to give it a try. In this visit for lunch, we ordered their Samgyeopsal 삼겹살 (Pork Belly Original), Dwaejigalbi 돼지갈비 (Marinated Pork Collar), Dolsot Bibimbap 돌솥비빔밥 (Beef & Vegetable Bibimbap Served in Hot Stone Pot), Sundubu Jiggae 순두부찌개 (Spicy Soft Tofu Stew, including 1 bowl of white rice) and Japchae 잡채 (Sweet Potato Starch Noodles Stir-Fried with Beef and Vegetables). Overall, we're pretty satisfied with all the orders. Totally love the fact that they provided hot stone grilled to reheat the grilled meats (they come already grilled, but if you guys like your meat served hot, it's convenient to reheat it again). Their Samgyeopsal is really good, delicious and not even a little bit of unpleasant pork smells. Dwaejigalbi is also nicely marinated with their sweet savory sauce, perfect to be enjoyed with rice and ssamjang (Korean dipping sauce). Sundubu Jiggae also pretty bold in seasoning and they're using such a mean kimchi as the base (their kimchi is so good). Don't forget to try their Japchae, it's sweet and savory, such a umami flavor. Their Dolsot Bibimbap is in the last place for me, because it isn't as bold as another dishes, but giving sesame oil is a nice move from them. The staffs aren't too attentive in my opinion, so it's kinda hard to asked for extra side dishes or reordering something. For this visit to Jiwon Galbi 지원갈비 Senopati, i'm gonna rate them 4 out of 5. Read moreAn unfortunate review for Jiwon Galbi. Came in for a party of 2.
First went in and everything was going well. We pre ordered the galbi jim. When the dish came in, smelled great. Then we noticed the portion size. For 500k, only 3 pieces of meat on the dish. Complained. They added 1 more piece of meat. Taste was Ok. Price is not equal to the amount of meat. Suggest to better ahop around for a more fulfilling and fair portioned sized galbi jim.
Next dish : marinated meat. Meat was dry, almost no taste of marination.
Next, ordered the tteokboki. Overcooked = EXTREMELY mushy. It was disgusting.
Last, steamed egg. This is the dish with no complaints.
We were pretty shocked because from all the reviews online, everything stated otherwise.
Wanted to give comments to Chef, waitress tried calling them but to no avail. I guess they didn’t want to hear comments & suggestions.
Paid the bill and left.
Well its not the worst, however there are plenty of other options to choose from in Jakarta.

Read moreJiwon Galbi, We saw some people ate Yangnyeom gejang here so we decided to try this restaurant.
We order 3 menu Jiwon Yangnyeom Galbi (Marinated prime short ribs 450k/250gr) - The ribs is good and tender, they cook a bit in the back and serve charcoal grill plate if you want to cook it more.
Kimci Cigae (Pork 120k/bowl with bonus rice) - The soup Is good, not too spicy for someone who doesn't like spicy food,
Yangnyeom Gejang (250k) - This is the best one, i personally don't like eating with much effort, for example eating crab, but here i try eating it because the meat and the seasoning Is so good!
Hanci Hoi (250k/compliment for review on gmaps) the sliced squid is refreshing though a little bit frozen
Makgeoli original + Honeycomb (155k+25k) standard Makgeoli with additional Honeycomb for a tase of honey, good for casual hang out
Worth to try if you like Yangnyeom Gejang, a little bit spicy but still comfortable to eat if you don't like spicy food.
