Usually I don’t give low rating to the restaurant, even more to restaurants that I frequently visit. However the service is really unacceptable, as first i need table for 12 person and asked, they said cannot because it’s currently full (which i accept). Me and my family agreed to eat at separate tables.
When I am about to order, suddenly there’s this woman that cut the queue line, and the staff seems not to care and try to meddle about it, and instead she (the staff) is just let us be.
Then after ordering, some of tables is actually empty (some of the consumer just finished) and me and my family decided to combine the table and clean the table by ourselves (by means this dishes from previous customer is not cleaned yet). When the food arrived and we’re about to eat, suddenly this employee (the same woman) told us we can’t move the table as it’s already the SOP. Then I asked “so now we have to rearrange the table again?” She said “yes right away now” and just leave us to set back the table by ourselves again.
If only in the first place she told us about not to move the table, we WILL NOT move it, but this is such a disappointment where the employees do not seem to care about everything. The treatment is so rude, as if we are only here ordering 1 portion...
Read moreFirst time I saw their viral post in Instagram and thought that I would like to try. Disappointed that when we reached there, no one was attending to our table. BTW: we ordered and paid before we entered the shop. The staff was busy with themselves in the front while no one was checking how many people inside whom have not been served. Their claypot noodle was sold out; and the worst thing was that after we paid for their string bean and waited for quite a while, the staff came to our table and told us that the string bean was sold out. This means that they did not even check their stock and still received order and payment upfront. The chef-I think he must be the owner or one of the owners- came to the cooking area in the front of the shop, but did not bother to check the empty tables where guests were sitting. Lots of staff about 4-5 standing at the cooking area in front of the shop and no one was inside. Claypot rice was so so, not a WOW. Their fried rice was also a so so, with lots of rice and less meat-feeling like only eating carbs with no proteins. Anyway, I do not recommend this place as one of the best claypot places to try and not worth to be called King Claypot as the dishes did not represent the...
Read moreThe foods were really nice! I ordered claypot babi with rice. The place ambiance is decent enough with sufficient aircon.
Rice: The rice was perfectly cooked, with a slightly crispy bottom layer from the claypot. This crunchy texture, known as "socarrat," is a hallmark of great claypot rice, adding both flavor and texture contrast. The rice absorbed the savory flavors from the pork and sauces, enhancing each bite.
Toppings: The pork was tender and flavorful, marinated well to infuse every piece with a rich, savory taste. The additional bok choy n tofu are also balancing the heavy pork n rice components.
Sauce: A key element of any claypot rice is the sauce, and here it was no exception. The light soy-based sauce had a perfect balance of salty and umami flavors, with a hint of sweetness. It brought the dish together without overwhelming the natural flavors of the pork and rice. You can add chili n sonkit to bring more kick n balancing the food even more
Presentation: Served in a hot claypot, the presentation was simple but classic. The claypot retained heat well, keeping the dish warm throughout the meal, which is essential for enjoying claypot rice...
