Came here after 2PM on holiday. The place is not very crowded. This place is more like a cafe than restaurant. They serves Malaysian cuisine, from snacks like kaya toast to heavy meal i.e nasi lemak, laksa noodle, etc.
I had chicken curry laksa and hot lemon tea. Personally, I find the laksa is inedible. The soup is too spicy and too bold… as in too much MSG-bold. The spiciness makes my tongue numb to a point can’t even taste the other aromatics. I almost ask the waiter to get me still water to tone down the soup.
There’s nothing green in this dish too. I expected to see some green onions or coriander leaves, or anything alike. Can’t taste the freshness in the soup. Just thick salty and spicy broth.
On top of that the fried tofu skin is crazy salty I can feel my blood pressure increase. 😰
All in all, the food is just not for me. Other than that, the ambience of the place is pretty cozy to hang around with...

Ordered the Hainanese Chicken rice as it is one of my favorites. The dish is not the best but it is passable. The chicken is tender but the rice lacks the flavor and aroma that I expected.
I can never satisfy my tummy without a sweet dessert so ordered ABC ice or something like that. It is a shaved ice topped with chendol, red bean, peanuts and lathered in Gula Melaka (palm sugar). Loved the sweetness of the syrup and the saltiness of the peanuts.
The place is comfortable and the service was good, with thank you's and smiles from the waitstaff. Price is average for such a joint. Might have to park a little further when there is a crowd.
Would recommend this place for a quick bite or...
Read moreWe went there for a breakfast meeting on Saturday about two weeks ago. Our main purpose was to have an early morning business meeting over coffee. I liked its location and interior, and the coffee was strong enough for me. I noticed that it was a popular place even on a Saturday morning. One thing that bugged me though, was its very loud background music. I noticed that most patrons at that time were there for meetings or casual chats; loud background music made it hard to do so. Cafe owners need to understand that loud obnoxious background music drives customers away. But soft soothing background music keeps them coming back and...
