Ok lets get the bad out of the way first...
Bad:
Food and taste? 3 stars.... I had many subways in my days in the US so this one taste is as similar... personally it tastes good but unfortunately the price is also similarly priced like those subs in the States.....well unless these employees get paid according to US minimum wage...i give a sensible..... (next read....)
Price...2stars... I would pay for the full US price but the atmosphere feels a lil off, cheap, more like a knockoff version compared to other imported US franchise.... It's clean tho.... But I give this credit to the staffs... and it doesn't feel nostalgically subway except for the signage fonts and color theme.
NOW for the 5 STARS!
Staffs and service.... A solid 5 STARS!!! Those terrible ratings this branch received are terribly misunderstood. The staffs are all young, energetic and hard working.... They kept the place clean.... Runs smooth like butter and most of them speaks fluent English đ˛.
But I see those bad reviews are attacking the fact that it's a simple American franchise and ordering a simple sandwich shouldn't be this complicated and long of a wait.
So poor staffs get lots of dirty looks and jokes from customers especially the subway snobsđ¤.... Me included but I quickly realized they are not the owners but just frontline workers taking all the heat of what the owners tell them to do as protocols.
My usher Ester.... Someone please promote this lovely girl.... Wonderful...
Read moreSummary: Subway Indo - not so a fast food chain, but more of hyped foreign branded sandwich chain .
Taste: good, similar to those overseas
Variety : limited selection of bread, toppings, but the bare minimum aka classics available.
Service: The highlight of this is witnessing the longest production line in a world for a Subway - 7 people. 1 For bread 1 for placing the meats (and toaster) 2 for vege (very unneccessary esp have to repeat requests for vege twice) 1 for packing sandwich Cashier
Yet, the speed is atrociously slow, and hence why itâs is not considered fast food IMO.
Where I use to have Subway ( in Hong Kong), it was 2 people for servicing even office rush hours and the speed was so much faster.
Other comments: they donât accept 50.000 MAP vouchers, as âit is not net registered in the systemâ. They do accept 100.000 ones. this is really quite annoying but not surprising.
Conclusion, wonât be going back until it stops being an âattractionâ since the wait is...
Read moreBeing an American, I've eaten at Subway many times in the past. I went to this one because it opened recently. Because it is popular, there was quite a long wait; around an hour. The staff was nice and they followed Covid protocols. The sandwich bread was fresh but limited in selections. Of course, the options were different here than at home and not as many. Everything went smoothly as a whole. You had to start by registering and then wait. There was a sitting area outside. They do not offer a dine-in option at the moment. I didn't like the sandwich I chose but that doesn't mean they don't have better selections. Fitri loved hers. I just selected the wrong one for me. If you're used to Subways in other parts of the world, especially America, you may be disappointed with the options. The overall experience was not bad beyond the wait and the store appeared clean. As I said before, the staff was nice and smiling. The 3-star rating is because I've been spoiled by other...
