Raden Saleh Restaurant — Restaurant in Jakarta

First impressions when i've come to this places design already quite old but I think it was their authentic style and yeah its fine. And after that while choosing the menu, I'm not high expected to the taste, I tried to order Lamb Mandi, Maryam Bread, Drinks, also Lamb Curry, but when I tried on every food at the first bite, it was very delicious, the meat and rice was very soft and the flavour not very strong as others but its already perfect for me, also the salad and pickles was sour and fresh that's good combinations. Also last but not least, I don't know before for the payment in here its not accepted for the Credit Card, Debit Card, by ScanQR / QRIS, etc. Its Cash Only, so that I need to go to ATM to withdrawal the money first then paid for it. But I've just thinking, this is right the restaurant was for moeslem friendly food, the owner doesn't want to get "Usury" a.k.a. "Riba" from bank so that the owner using the old style and only accepted for Cash. Reasonable, right?. Please add new menu for Umm Ali, and others menu if possible. Located in Raden Saleh (obviously), you probably won’t notice this place unless you have search it before or you have a deep knowledge about culinary in Jakarta. So basically it’s a restaurant with a middle eastern and Indonesian cuisine as the theme. But it’s actually not a fusion like I thought it would, rather they would just sell both of the cuisine seperately.

For me, the middle eastern cuisine is much more interesting. I order the mubaraq soup, mandhi rice, and sambosa. All of them taste good, since the taste has been adapted well to indonesian favor. No strong smell nor strong flavor.

The place it self is kinda spacious, but quite hot since the AC is not working well. There are only several table for smoking room...

The food is sublime! I tried the Nasi Kebuli Kambing and Kambing Mugalgal. The meat is tender-cooked, perfectly seasoned. Seasonings in the rice is not as strong as Nasi Kebuli in general. But for my preference, it's perfectly seasoned. The service are great. The atmosphere itself kinda gives me old restaurant, as the room lighting is not bright.
