My family recently visited Pagi Sore Jeruk Purut and were delighted to discover a hidden gem serving traditional North Sumatran cuisine. From the moment we stepped inside, we were transported to a traditional Indonesian warung with the bustling atmosphere and delicious smells coming from the kitchen.
We ordered their signature Jeruk Purut and the highly recommended Ayam Pop, and both dishes were simply amazing. The Jeruk Purut, a traditional North Sumatran dish, was a combination of tangy, sweet, and spicy flavors that left us craving more. Meanwhile, the Ayam Pop was crispy and juicy, with just the right amount of spice. My kids were especially impressed and kept asking for more. The portions were generous, and we left feeling satisfied and happy.
But what really made our visit to Pagi Sore Jeruk Purut stand out was the service. The staff were so warm and friendly, and made us feel like family. They were always happy to chat with us and answer any questions we had about the menu and the traditional North Sumatran cuisine.
Overall, my family would highly recommend Pagi Sore Jeruk Purut to anyone looking for a taste of authentic North Sumatran cuisine in a lively and traditional atmosphere. The Jeruk Purut and Ayam Pop are must-tries, and we will definitely be returning to sample more of their delicious dishes...

However, I had a disappointing experience during one of my visits in the evening. Despite the place being known for good food, the service left much to be desired. I was completely ignored by the staff. I sat at my table waiting, but no one came to take my order for a long time. When someone finally did approach, it was after a considerable wait.
What bothered me the most was the apparent preferential treatment. It seemed like the staff only paid attention to certain customers who looked 'important', while others, like myself, were barely acknowledged. This kind of service is really off-putting. Feeling frustrated, I ended up leaving the place, muttering complaints. It's a shame because while they have plenty of staff and many customers, the lack of proper service can ruin the whole experience. It doesn't matter how good the food is if the service makes you...
Read moreSpent almost an hour waiting for 3 packets of Nasi Padang. They werent busy as it was about 4.30pm on the 4th day of Lebaran. When I got home 2 of the orders were wrong. My 8 year old does not like spicy so i asked for Ayam Pop and rice with the sauce to be separated, explaining that it was for a child that cannot take heat. When I opened the pack, it was wet with all the sambal and gulai sauce. Another order was for Ayam Bakar but no ayam bakar was put in the packet. Disappointed I called to complain but talked to a guy that was the twin of Flash the sloth in Zootopia. Gave up and came to Google instead. We are still very much in the grip of the pandemic but the health protocol was lacking. There was an infrared thermometer but no one making sure a person’s reading was normal. I looked around and could not spot a single dispenser of hand sanitizer. There was a sink with soap before the door. Food was tasty but it would be a while before I put my family through this service which would make a Warteg...
