The place is hot and humid. Not a comfortable place to eat, but the food is excellent. I recommend the chicken sroto with the works (ati ampela) but they are usually gone before lunch time is usually over. The broth is flavorful and the chicken skin adds a delightful crunch to the smooth broth. Pour some of that spicy peanut sauce on your spoon of sroto and slurp away. I donāt recommend pouring the sauce in the sroto because youāll change the whole experience without being able to go back to the original broth. The mendoan is a must, itās huge, one is enough to share for 2. I donāt recommend the chicken and beef sroto, the combination just doesnāt work for me. As they say, you can have it both ways. So choose chicken or beef. The tea is also delightful. Itās rich without being overly bitter. Get the hot unsweetened tea or sweet ice...
