The first time and would be the last time I will be eating here. There is so many better and nice sushi restauarant.
After several months they open, this time I got chance to try this place.
First impression from the vallet service. I came around 17.38 which is there is so many car space still available but they still insist to do the vallet even though I told the vallet guy I will pay the Vallet service but I will park my self and bring the key, but the still insist it. May be they thought if I parked my self I don’t want to pay the service. At the end I give the key. By the way the vallet guy is so unfriendly at all
Second one, the Receiptionist at the ground floor they also not friendly as well it seems we are not really welcome.
Third one, the second receiptionist on the first floor. With the same attidude as well no smile just asking do we have any reservation ? To be honest I feel like just want to move the other place.
The Fourth impression: FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I’m eating in japanesse restaurant that they don’t free refill on the cold ocha !! It is not because of the price but I’m feel more like weird. For me its feel like this restaurant trying to charged you as many ways as possible.
The waitress lightly better than the vallet guy and the receptionists.
Overall the food is totally overprice with that kind of tastes and services. Nothing special at all. Even my daughter who love sushi n japanese food she doesn’t want to come back again.. she is 12 years old…
I think with that kind of attitudes and that kind of services this is restaurant would be lucky already if they can survived until at the end of 2024 without losing money or even closed the business.
Last things not lease when we came there are a few empty seat still available but they insist us to seat on the second floor !!! Why you trying to make difficult with the customer ??
My suggestion to be too arrogant thinking that your food is the best. To be honest in term of the taste and the freshness of the sushi the rate 0-10 is 6,5. Moreover improve your service at least when ur food is nothing special but threat your customer like your family. Starting from the they get out from the car. Give them a best service not only...
Read moreSushi Toku is a high end Japanese food and Sushi restaurant. Omakase courses are available with 1 day previous notice. Great for a ‘special date lunch’ or a dinner with close friends.
Atmosphere is classy and refined, from the moment you enter, it’s an experience. A high, concrete valley, roofed by a water feature creates dappled light and shadow, as you wind along suddenly a door opens, and the hot Jakarta weather is replaced by a cool breeze and a warm greeting. A magnificent and dramatic welcome.
The main dining area is well lit, and you are given a feeling of being in a treetop retreat with harsh sunlight blocked into a soothing light by slatted bamboo roofing reminiscent of traditional Indonesian roofing. As appropriate for a Japanese restaurant of this level, every plate, table, and table setting is well selected, down to the embossed lettering of the table mat.
The food is fresh, well seasoned and cooked with excellent portions and delivered with care.
Our server advised that the soy sauce and sushi rice had been marinated or made with Mirin, a sweet rice wine sauce used in many Japanese dishes - so sushi rolls were out.
However the donburi and cooked appetizers as well as sashimi were excellent, filling and we even went home with leftovers.
The desert options looked amazing, and are worth a visit of their own, though we didn’t get to try them this time.
One unfortunate point was though all meats were Halal, there was no halal soy available, though oddly it was provided with the take away, so it might have been a lack of training on the...

Sushi Toku is an absolute gem in Jakarta’s dining scene! From the moment you step inside, the ambiance feels warm and inviting, perfectly blending a modern aesthetic with traditional Japanese charm.
The sushi here is phenomenal—easily some of the freshest and most meticulously crafted I’ve ever had. Every bite bursts with flavor, and you can tell the chefs are dedicated to using top-quality ingredients. Their sashimi platter was a standout: perfectly sliced, melt-in-your-mouth, and presented like a work of art.
The menu is diverse, catering to sushi purists and those seeking creative rolls. I highly recommend their signature rolls, which strike a perfect balance between innovation and authenticity. Pair it with their premium matcha tea or sake, and you’re in for an unforgettable experience.
What truly elevates Sushi Toku is their exceptional service. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about making your visit special. They’re more than happy to provide recommendations and accommodate special requests.
