After hearing positive recommendations out of this place, I finally decided to join the hype. It is located in PIM 1, nearby the Area 51, used to be the outlet for Outback Steak restaurant.
Although not so much convincing pics can be taken out from this place, the environment reminds me of Genki Sushi's. Each table has their own tab to order and all tables are available in joining with the conveyor belt sushi area. If you're lucky enough, you may visit right away and expect for a quick moving line. I paid a visit on weekdays and still had to spend a couple of minutes to be seated. If you wish to have it in a snap, please do click their profile on IG as they offer you an app to book in advance. The staffs there are friendly, helpful, and professional. We were greeted with hello and brief guidelines on how to order the menu.
Take it as an advice, please do order other options away from salmon unless you never had a chance to eat rare salmon. Their variants of nigiri sushi menu is worth every rupiah even though there were lack of consistencies of the slices; kadang dapet yang tebel, kadang dapet yang tipis. The only that is consistent enough is the size of the rice ball. Ngga ancur, terus pulen, and quite satisfying for sushi lovers. Ngga ada bau amis, semua fresh, and among all the variants I enjoyed their Tobiko the most. Meletus2 inside your mouth, no amis2 club, no kelembekan2 club, every tiny bullet popped perfectly inside. Their Ootoro is great. Basically anything you can find from the conveyor belt sushi is worth trying. Kalo uda keseringan makan salmon, you must dare yourself to try their other menu. It is worth the surprise. Their salmon fish skin juga lezat, garing, no gores2 langit mulut club.
As a closure, I tried their chocolate cake and I regretted for ever buying that in the sushi restaurant. LoL. The cake is too dry and I really wish they'd like to improve their dessert menu although it isn't their specialty.
I will be back to try their other...
Read moreThis sushi conveyor belt restaurant is, in my opinion, one of the best around. What sets it apart is not just the conveyor belt that lets you grab whatever sushi catches your eye, but also the added convenience of an individual tablet at each table for quick and easy ordering. Once you place your order, it arrives directly at your table via the overhead station above the conveyor belt, which is a neat touch. They offer free water—hot, cold, or room temperature—but if you're in the mood for something else, you can order tea, juice, or sweet drinks through the tablet menu. The staff here is exceptionally friendly and attentive, making sure your dining experience is smooth and enjoyable. The restaurant's design is nearly identical to those in Japan, creating an authentic atmosphere that really enhances the overall experience.
That said, the restaurant does have its flaws. The selection of sushi is somewhat limited, and so far, I haven't come across any particularly standout or unique options. While the most expensive sushi plate is priced at Rp 44,000, some of these dishes don’t quite justify the cost. Given the high price, you may find yourself needing to order multiple plates just to feel satisfied, which can quickly add up. For those who prefer a lighter meal, it can feel like you’re paying a premium for a relatively small portion of sushi.
Overall, it's a great place for a...
Read moreOffers a mixed experience with both strengths and areas that could use improvement compared to other conveyor belt sushi spots. 🍣🎢
[+] The combination of conveyor belt sushi and made-to-order sushi ensures that customers don’t have to wait too long for their food, which is a definite plus. [+] Complimentary unlimited refills of water and ocha powder are a nice touch, adding value to the dining experience.
[-] The sushi itself is standard, with no standout flavors. There were some disappointments, such as a less-than-fresh salmon belly with a strong fishy smell and a soft-shell crab nigiri that was overly salty and savory. [-] The menu lacks variety, particularly in sashimi options, which is a drawback compared to other conveyor belt sushi places. [-] The ordering app needs improvement. The full-screen alerts when an order arrives can be disruptive, and the navigation is confusing, likely because it closely follows the Japanese version without localization adjustments. [-] The prices are not exactly budget-friendly, especially given the small portions of fish and rice, meaning you have to order a lot to feel satisfied.
Overall, while Sushiro has some conveniences like efficient ordering and free refill drinks, the quality, variety, and app experience could be enhanced to better meet customer...
