Pondok Indah Water Park — Attraction in Jakarta

One of the best swimming pools at South Jakarta. This swimming pool has long history; it was the first swimming pool where I learned swimming back in elementary school in 1980s; so it almost 40 years! But that doesn’t mean the building is old and damp and ugly; they always rejuvenate and renovate the pool; they even put other attractions like slides, flow rider, wave poll etc to be a fun water park and still maintaining the olympic size pool which I need for training. The width of the pool is not 25m anymore like it used to but it is still okay; i think it is 20m+ now. The changing/shower room is clean. It is now part of the mall Pondok Indah Street Gallery which is nice, although it used to have access to Pondok Indah Golf which is adjacent to the mall. The price is a bit expensive; Rp100.000 in weekday from 6am to 6pm but it is cheaper at evening; Rp75.000 from 6 to 9pm. At weekends price go up to Rp150.000 from morning to evening. The quality of water is good. They really make effort to clean the water regularly so you just feel good swimming there. At first glance, this place looks like another water recreation place. You have an array of pools, like the kids fountain pool, wave pool, surf pool (you got to pay another 35 thousand rupiah), regular swimming pool, and slides with different level of heights.

Yet, the nice thing you have in this place is that it's not crowdy. Some people may love a crowdy place, but to me, it's the chance to explore different kind of pools without the possibility of stumble or got stomp by other swimmer. Every two hours, the wave pool activated for 30 minutes, so we got the chance to play with the wave and use our floater to swim through. It also got sliders with different speed so it's fun to go through it again, and again.

If you just want to spend the day swim and practicing your cardio, the regular swimming pool is the spot for you. With the olympic size and only 1.5 metres in depth, just enjoy your day swim your way.

Water park located inside Pondok Indah Mall 1. It has wave pool, olympic size pool, lazy river pool wave pool, slides, and surfing pool. Maintaining 25% occupancy during Covid situation, some facilty is not running. During my visit the surfing pool is not operated and few slides working. Admission fee for weekend at IDR 175K per person, you might want to check Travlka for better deal. You are allowwed to bring foods and drink into the facility, this area only provide popcorn stall and instant noodle stall

Bathroom and changing room is clean, well maintained. Lifeguard and security standby in each pool. Coin locker is availalbe, it has only 1 small size to keep your valuable item. It's coin operated, once you lock and unlock it, you will need another coin to lock it again
