Meh for a seafood place in Jakarta. You can eat somewhere else for a better price, if your looking solely just for seafood.
Went to the place, cause they re-open with a new concept, but turns out not that great of a experience.
Ambience was great, the restaurant had an overhaul.. but what made it so sad was the food.
My bill was around 2.5 mio, for a
880g dungeness crab sides of french fries sides of garlic noodles calamari hot stone crab rice thingy
Trust me is not wo th 2.5mio, they have no stock in crabs only above 700g left. Fish is sold out (for a seafood place, is pretty sad)
Sides is ridiculously so small!
The crab itself can only feed 1-2 people, but if ur really hungry, it can only feed 1
Seafood was not that fresh, how do i know this? My stomach was off after eating it, and it was hard to get the meat out, as it was still stuck to the shell. And if anyone knows what a fresh crab is like, you know it wont stick to the shell.
Yeah, not coming back, rather eat those local seafood resto, you got bang for your buck, and great tasty seafood.
Oh, we got free oyster. Don’t know how it taste, never liked oysters, but my GF said was not...
Read moreThis restaurant is part of my life, in 2014 it opened in the previous location and me and my family were able to experience the first time it opened. As a child back then this was an amazing experience for me to eat all the seafood on the table with my bare hands. Food has always been amazing and my family would visit here every few months until 2019.
Then there was a gap until as of this review where we didn't visit due to renovation, moving location, and pandemic. However we got the opportunity to return to the restaurant that was part of my family and life.
Thank you Holy Crab for 10 years of experience and great seafood experience and getting my hand smells like the garlic sauce for days. Cheers to another few decades with Holy Crab, very recommended to everyone and will...
Read moreRecently renovated - no longer has the nice vibes of what it used to be as a seafood boil & BBQ place; turned into an attempted upscale restaurant (looks the same as every other restaurant in the area) but the food & service doesn’t really live up to it. The beer was pretty bad (tasted old) but apparently is just the type of Kura Kura (highly doubt that was the reason). Was told that the beer would be taken out of the bill (and was given complimentary cocktail) but it was still in the bill in the end (happy to pay but just weird). The oysters pancakes were nice but still took 30+ mins to prepare a relatively simple dish at 9-10pm after peak hours. Hopefully the restaurant can find its groove and make some...
