Amazing! For me, it was truly a dream place to stay. The hostel is literally on the beach, with stunning views that made me extend my stay several times. Although there were some party nights, they were actually really nice, not too loud, and the vibe was amazing. I personally needed some quiet time to reflect, so I stayed away, but I could see they were really enjoyable. I also appreciated that I still had my peaceful space whenever I needed it. I stayed in the shared dormitory for only $6 per night with breakfast included ( banana / pinaple pancake and Coffee/ tea) , free water refill, excellent value for money. The room was clean and had everything I needed. They also rent snorkeling equipment for 45,000 IDR per day (from morning until 7 pm). Without fins, it’s only 25,000 IDR, and totally worth it if you don’t have your own gear. I was lucky to get mine for free from an amazing person I met at the hostel who had a spare, but I still think renting it is completely worth it. Overall, great vibes, unbeatable location, clean rooms, and very budget-friendly. Also don't miss a walk...
Read moreWe stayed four nights but god knows why. We love Amed but this place has to be the worse we've come across. No hot water at all in our first room so moved the second night to one that did have hot water. However when it rained it poured into the shower area making it impossible to shower - never mind the water getting closer to the electrical socket of the hot water system. There is mould everywhere, the kitchen is filthy (we had to wash the kettle and boil it 4 times before we trusted using it). There is absolutely no maintenance done on the place at all. We wouldn't stay there again even if it was free. The bed was horrible, the sheets were rough, the bathroom door was falling apart. The list goes on. Even the locals we know were shocked at the standard....
