MAGICAL PLACE, DELICIOUS FOOD, GOOD ENERGY, AMAZING STAFF, TOP NOTCH FACILITIES
I keep coming back here: to eat, to swim, to enjoy sunset, to do yoga, to stay at their beautiful room. Yes I keep bringing my friends here so they can see how wonderful this place is.
As someone who just recently cut meat off (hopefully) for good, I always in search for good delicious vegan/vegetarian around without feeling like I’m missing meat. I can’t be happier to find out this place makes delicious burger fusion between western & Indonesian, replacing the meat with young jackfruit, treated it as “pulled pork”. It shows how much they appreciate local ingredients. Amazing texture, sweet tangy sauce goes really well with this jackfruit. Refreshing salad, delicious homemade mustard sauce (not too sour, just right). Choice of fried sweet potato or potato on side. I asked if I can get mixed they said yes!! The burger portion was insanely big I had to eat it in 2 rounds. It kept me full for the whole day. I ate in their beautiful dream-like working space area (as I was working too) overlooking the ocean. One bottle of complimentary mineral water is already included in any of the purchase (very nice touch as in Indonesia we don’t usually have that).I also tried mushroom quinoa burger, spicy balinese curry, pad thai, vegetarian carbonara spaghetti, mushroom pizza, carrot cake etc. They’re all so delicious! They have THE BEST SUNSET VIEW! Appreciate their design with no roof just beautiful skyline & sea.
This would be my FAVOURITE HOTEL in Amed! Planned to stay in Amed only for 10 days, then I found this place so I extended for another 8 days.. then I extended another day!! The stay was just the best I could’ve asked for! Delicious, healthy & super generous breakfast! Amazing hotel staff who always try their best to make my stay enjoyable: Bu Ketut, Mbok Widya, Mbok Ratna, Mbok Anna, Bli Made, Bli Dimas, Bu Nengah etc. Spectacular view from my bedroom.. Beautiful Mount Agung & Jemeluk bay. Facilities are amazing! 25m swimming pool, with proper T lane. Super rare to have in hotels especially in Amed.. yoga space, jungle gym, small dip pool to relax, spa & massage room etc. I adore their lush tropical garden with happy animals around: rescued cats, dog, birds, butterflies, etc. I admire how they treat animals & nature with empathy, care, love… just in tune with their space philosophy about awareness & mindfulness. Happy it’s not just empty slogan for advertising purposes. They actually practice what they preach. Can’t be more thankful to one of the owners Bu Wayan who treated me super nicely. She was very welcoming, kind & attentive. I keep spending so much time having fun talking to her ❤️❤️❤️🥰 Matur suksma for everyone!!
I left Amed but already planning to visit back in 2 months!! This place is dreamy I’m falling in love!!...
Read moreWe could’ve had a great experience at this place. The view is nice and it’s a more quiet place. However me and my friends unfortunately had to go through a very frustrating experience. I have ordered a salad and the salad dressing was off. I gave my friend a taste and he agreed that it was something wrong with it. I told the waiter that the dressing was off if he could change it for me. He said yes and took my plate away. After 10 min another waitress comes and tells me they cannot change or cancel my order. We kindly explained again that the dressing was spoiled and she went and after some time brought me a container with the lime dressing telling me to try. I’ve tried and gave my friend to try and we both liked the dressing. The waitress said the dressing was coming from the same container than the previous one. We told her the taste was completely different. She went back and after 10 min her manager came and told us the same thing, we explained that it was not the same taste as we tried both dressings, she was rude went back in the kitchen I guess and came back after more minutes of waiting and was talking super loud in front of other customers saying I was wrong, that she tried the dressing and it was ok but she was going to give me for free. I told her she was being very unprofessional and it was not fair the way she was treating us as costumers. And told her I’m going to have to give a bad review of your service. When we went to pay, the manager was on the phone with the boss. She wanted me to talk on the phone with the boss. I told her I have nothing to talk about. At the payment desk they told us we had to pay for the salad. I told them the manager just told us it was going to be for free and they said no you have to pay. After almost an hour of drama for a SALAD, we got into the conclusion it was not worth staying in that negative, rude and unprofessional environment anymore. We payed and left. Ridiculous situation. A restaurant with managers and bosses that fight for a simple salad… never seen anything like this before. Truly...
Read moreWe were really excited to visit this place after hearing great things, but honestly, I left disappointed. Here’s why: Blue cheese issue – I had already read in some reviews that there were problems with the blue cheese. Apparently, that hasn’t been resolved yet. When I ordered the jackfruit burger, they told me there was no blue cheese but didn’t mention any substitution. I had to ask for it myself and chose mozzarella. It would be very helpful if they simply added a note on the menu, so customers know upfront and avoid this back-and-forth. Missing cheese – After choosing mozzarella, the food finally arrived about 15–20 minutes later. The burger came without any cheese at all. I called the waiter, who didn’t seem to believe me until I opened the burger and showed him. Then he called over a colleague (for some reason?) who asked me the same question again. I repeated that the mozzarella was missing. After another 5 minutes, the cheese was brought over separately. Eventually, I got to enjoy the burger — and it was good. But the service experience was frustrating and unnecessary. Dessert – I was especially looking forward to trying the desserts. I love healthy and vegan baking, and was happy to find a place in Amed where I could enjoy that kind of food. I ordered the raspberry dessert, and was very disappointed. The presentation was beautiful — like something from a Michelin-starred restaurant — but it was absurdly tiny. Literally two bites. It felt ridiculous to be served something that small on such a large plate. Plus, it looked nothing like the photo in the menu. What I got was a tiny round ball that felt more like a sample than a dessert. Honestly, a real letdown. I was planning to come back tomorrow to try the beetroot dessert, but I won’t be returning.
Overall, I give this place a 2.5 out of 5. The experience just didn’t live up to...
