This was a hard one. A highly unpleasant experience. Food is okay. Place is nice and service and staff are great. But I still can’t believe the extent of greed and misery the food and portions are designed with. They sell freshly squeezed juices for 55-80k and they add ICE on them, which at this point it is a well known technique to use as little fruit as possible, no reputable restaurant adds ice to fresh juices.
Then, the insulting toasts menu. Whoa. Never seen anything like this except for when I want gluten free bread. That’s generally the ONLY option that has an extra fee.
They set prices 30-50k for literally the toppings that go on the toast and then they charge extra 15-20k for the BREAD ???? It’s like selling sandwiches at a sandwich price but charging only for the content inside the sandwich and then drain what they desperately can charging extra FOR THE BREAD 😂 it’s even humorous.
Then the bread is so lamely thin that it disintegrates within seconds of been served due to the humidity and temperature of the veggies, so i had to eat it wet.
No really, What a disgrace.
The one that hurt the most though was the cake slice for 50k and it was the size of A SAMPLE. real true stinginess. An abuse !
For the amount I’ve spent here i can eat so much better and happier in an actual 5 star restaurant in Ubud.
These “feel good” amateurs are here for the capitalism of the trend.
what an awful day to start the day. The reminder of people caring more for business than anything else. A shame.
Never again, maybe only to take pictures and update this post with them to proof this isn’t an exaggeration.
Update : they manager’s comment is not addressing the problem in regards with serving extremely small portions.
It’s not about nature, sustainability or charity (which I applaud if you’re committed to that) It’s about being proportionate with costs and value. To me the menu with “make your own toast and salad option” it’s a strategy to be paying every single ingredient at a non sensical price. I don’t think your bread and cake suppliers decide the sizes of loafs and slices per serving. Let’s cut to the chase.
I never write such negative reviews unless I feel...

Read moreThe Music when we arrived was TERRIBLE! something really not adequate for cafes. Just too heavy metal that is not pleasant listening too. Being canadian, I am always shy to ask things like that. Well of the guy behind me didn’t ask, this time I was going too.
They finally changed it but, the kind of music came back later. But juat for 1-2 songs.
The place is really cute, eco environmentally conscious. Always great to have in Bali, we need more. The service was absolutely perfect, they were super nice and smiling a lot. I loved it.
The food was correct but as we can expect from a cool cafe, a little more expensive. We had 2 breakfast and 1 cafe for 205k. (Burger potatoes, bagel egg and bacon and a latte)
It is a nice cafe to hang out, (when music is good) beautiful and we will go back to work or...
