Taal Indian Restaurant - Lippo Karawaci — Restaurant in Kelapa Dua

We've visited Taal a few times but we've made many purchases online. My Indonesian friends aren't accustomed to the multiple spices known for Indian food but my wife and I love this restaurant so much. I believe the chef himself is native citizen of India yet he would take the time to come to our tables during our times there. We love the tomato flavor cheese soup one (I don't what it's called but my wife memorizes the menu. lol) and definitely kofta. Sure I must say the ingredient may have been changed a bit where it's savory with a hint of sweetener in kofta, yet it's just right. Please keep in mind it's better to eat it immediately after being served fresh off the pot. It goes through changes once you put it in the fridge although you can always reheat it nicely with a saladmaster type of steel pot.

We've tried many other food from this restaurant. I don't think it is highly vegan friendly but very friendly lacto-ovo vegetarians. The price is steep. Been two times going to Taal and none of it is failed. The ambience is so quiet. They have two option space, indoor and outdoor. The waiters is so friendly and helpful. When my first visit, they explain all the type of Indian sambal (I don’t remember the name) and I try some, its was fine. I’ve try Chicken Manchow Soup (⭐️4/5 the soup is light but also flavory because the umami taste from soy sauce), Chicken Kadai (⭐️3/5 it has sweet taste from onion with chunks size of well cook chicken, perfect combo with the naan. I choose garlic naan but I think it will be better if I took plan or butter naan), Chicken Butter Masala (⭐️5/5 this is the best taste, so flavory, spices mix well, not overpowering, the chicken pieces also pretty much, I eat with paratha and its so heavenly good), Gulab Jamun (⭐️3/5 for a sweet tooth its perfect dessert, soft warm ball with sweet sugar sirup), and Chai Masala (⭐️5/5 its not too sweet and the spices not too strong, pretty balance taste). YES! Talk about getting a meal absolutely perfect. This place is stunning. The people are great and the food is delicious. Not too far from home, this is going to be one of my regular haunts. Authentic Indian food - Terrific.

Update 21 Oct 23 YES YES !!!!! Even more stunning! Not only did they remember us, they remembered our tastes in food. The owner and staff treat people less as customers in a restaurant, and more like old family and friends visiting their home. They came over to offer ideas in the most caring of ways, purely in an effort to make our meals even better - They were right with every suggestion - The people here are wonderful.

I have to very strongly recommend this restaurant.
