Bai Yun Hot Pot — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

My experience with this place had been rather stellar. Do note that I tried out the dim sum lunch all you can eat experience, and in that regard the place had offered all you could look for in a Dim Sum lunch.

The prices might be rather high, but it stands on par if not remain rather cheap for those who would stay in a prodigious resort the likes of Kempinsky which this restaurant stands upon.

The prices for a single person is an approximate 500k idr (34.53 USD) for an all you can eat Dim Sum- the best sort of all you can eat where you can order the dishes freely as they arrive.

The presentation is absolutely stellar and I was extremely impressed with the cocktails. they cost 168k idr for a whole glass (11.5 USD~) which is a steal for what you get.

I will upload a series of videos on the creation and explanation on said cocktails on this account and I greatly recommend it for those who enjoy their Chinese styled cocktails. Unlike the traditional Bai Jiu the taste is refreshingly sweet, and the signature powerful smell and taste is diluted into a fluffy white drink.

This cocktail I ordered was the “白云” (White Cloud). It was honestly rather jarring to order while having the dim sum, and would be served best at the entree and dessert.

Speaking of, the dessert is absolutely delicious as well.. and as an all you can eat, you can order these if you crave any particular dishes more and refuse some of the menu items you're unsure of. It's recommended to try the Huang Hun Cocktail alongside the desert. They're light and refreshing.

Another thing to note is the seating and atmosphere is excellent. Quiet, calm, peaceful and well lit naturally. Overall a top recommend.

During our stay at Apurva Kempinski, we never expected to find the best hotpot we’ve ever had, but Bai Yun completely blew us away.

My husband and I are huge hotpot fans. We’ve tried all the popular spots (yes, including the famous Haid**), and thought we had our go-to… until this. After trying Bai Yun, we both agreed: this is a new favorite.

What truly surprised me? My husband — who hates veggies — became obsessed. He even asked for extra bok choy, which has never happened. That alone says a lot.

The dipping sauces were fantastic, but the real standout was the broth — no MSG at all, just rich, deep flavor from slow-cooked bone marrow. It was savory, clean, and absolutely addictive.

We chose a package that came with a generous variety of meats, mushrooms, veggies, and tofu. Totally worth the price, especially with the refill option for all the plant-based sides. It felt indulgent, yet balanced.

We had an enjoyable dining experience at Bai Yun, a delightful Chinese/Cantonese restaurant located at the Apurva Kempinski Hotel. It was an overall positive experience as we indulged in their all-you-can-eat dim sum lunch. The dim sum selection was exquisite, especially the har gow, fried shrimp dumplings, and shu mai. We could taste the premium, fresh ingredients and so each bite was a burst of authentic flavors that left us craving for more. Another highlight was their seafood fried noodles, which were a true delight to the taste buds. The perfect blend of textures and aromas made it an unforgettable dish.
