Almost kicked out from the restaurant! (Review update: we got food poisoned). First of all we paid 2 000 000 for the dinner of 3 people and the food was 3/5, my pasta with prawns was overcooked. 2nd - after ordering a drink I had to receive an urgent video-call from home, since I had the laptop with me - I received the call on my laptop. The waiter immediately appeared and started to complain that its forbidden to work here. It was 9 pm, I was not there for work, just a call that was literally 2 minutes. While I was on the call the waiter called another guy and were speaking to my bf about kicking us out. My bad review is obviously for the ruined evening and mood and treating us like criminals. After the waiter was staring at me all the evening controlling. At the end of the dinner I had to pick up again the phone for 2 minutes, so I didnt finish my food and left home so my friends could stay without waiters kicking us out. Incredibly rude treatment, obviously lack of soft skills and flexibility from the stuff. They were telling us its a rule of the owner to kick out people with laptops, if its true - the values of this restaurant worth nothing. The place itself was beautiful but left me only negative emotions. After the dinner me and my bf started to feel sick and vomited all night. It was the only one place where we ate together at that day and we...

Read more2025 update: They now know how to cook steak. The meat selection has changed but the steak and duck were absolutely perfectly cooked. Upgraded from 4 to 5 stars. Service better too, Guday (name spelling?) was a wonderful waiter.
Incredible jamón, snails, excellent ambience, drink selection and staff. Also absolutely wonderful dry aged meat selection, including my favourite beef, Rubia Gallega. However, like a lot of places in Bali, they aren't great at cooking steak. Despite having an excellent charcoal grill, grill clearly not hot enough as there was almost zero char / Maillard on outside and was overcooked on the inside. Asked for medium rare. See photos - definitely minus one star. I'd call this medium-well. Also the waitress was very sweet but kept asking if our food was Ok after letting her know the dissatisfaction with the steak cooking. I said "not really" but she kept saying "is it okay?" to which I eventually conceded "sure", which I guess is her training rather than trying to offer a solution / apology dish / drink / discount. The steak was still decent given the sheer quality of the meat, but their meat deserves better execution on the grill. I hate food waste and would never let a sacrificed animal be thrown out unless inedible / unsafe, but felt they could have...
