I have had two bad experiences at Cashew Tree. The first time, I ordered the Pittaya bowl, the mango was bitter and the kiwi fruit was rock hard. I tried eating as much as I could but I just couldnât eat it, it was absolutely inedible. I told the waiter this and she just argued that this variety of kiwi is like that in Bali đ. I showed her how hard it was by pressing my spoon into it until it snapped in half. She didnât want to refund me, which is whatever. I didnât want a refund I just wanted her to acknowledge the problem with the food. Then she asked me if i want to pay for another item off the menu. Nah Iâm going bye.
And today was the last straw, I gave them another chance and went back in to get some food on my own. I stood around for a bit and waved down a waiter, she put me in a sharing table and gave me a menu and I was ready to order within a minute or two. A waiter sat down a group of 3 Americans next to me. I asked the waiter if I could order because I had been waiting a while at this point, she put her hand up at me and said âjust wait a momentâ. She then proceeded to walk to the other side of the table and started taking the order of the Americans. I understand it could have been a mistake but it was the same waiter who told me to wait and she knew that we were sharing the table. I just got up and left to Satu. There is definitely a bit of an attitude thing going on at cashew tree and the food quality has definitely dropped off over the years ive been going. Iâm not ever going back. And I get the Indo crew are probably working long hours to save money and doing nights and days etc. The problem lies within the owners, this business obviously generates a good return and theyâve taken there foot off the peddle a bit and quality control has lacked. If someone has an issue with some food and service, a little bit of acknowledgement goes a long way and I wouldnât have written this review. But here I am acting like a Daren ! Haha
Good luck with your future cashew tree, I wonât be...
Read moreI donât often leave reviews but I hope this can leave some constructive feedback for the management as it used to be way better.
Service is well below par. Rude staff, busy on the phone when trying to take orders, completely under trained and a bad attitude.
Playground is old and run down, looking rough. Easy and cheap to fix up.
Ambience and atmosphere for dinner is off with a strange layout leaving plenty of empty space but no tables while the limited tables are full.
Tried for breakfast 2 weeks ago and staff confused the order then chased us down the street accusing us for stealing because they forgot to add a coffee on the bill. Food and drinks were okay but not mind blowing.
Tried again tonight to have dinner but was full (even though plenty of space) so we went somewhere else.
Went back after having dinner to get ice cream and the girl was on her phone for 5 minutes with no one else at the desk yelling random things to other coworkers. Finally got around to asking us what we wanted and as I mentioned ice cream she started messaging again and completely ignored me then with a bad attitude finally came back to asking what I wanted again. Finally I said 2 scoops of different flavours. Told me it wasnât possible. Can do 2 of the same flavour scoops in one cup but canât do 2 different scoops in the same cup. Makes no sense and she was angry when we asked what the reason was. 1/10 experience.
Typical over rated venue along with many others riding this upward âchaoticâ tourist trend in Uluwatu with a lack of staff training and no ability for these businesses...
Read moreI encountered a very rude service by one of the servers named "Jema" today. I approached the waitresses to take my order and they asked Jema to serve me. I wanted something small but was told the lunch menu was not ready until 12pm so I ordered something quickly from the breakfast menu. She took my order and within 10 seconds (we were still with each other) I wanted to change to another order, she told me that she cannot change since she already entered in the system. I asked her why not since the kitchen has not prepared the food and she said she just couldn't change so I told her that I wanted to cancel it, I don't want the food. She gave me a stern look with disrespectful attitude and walked away.
The worst is that my family was sitting next to the cashier counter, she then walked over to complain about me to her other 3 colleagues. Her voice was so loud that my family and I could hear her complaining about me disrespectfully with constant glimpse from her colleagues. My family and I instantly felt being treated so rude by her in particular.
My husband wanted to speak to the store manager but they don't bother since the assistant manager was around and I saw him walking around but he did not bother to come to our table.
I'd advise to avoid the server Jema if you want to enjoy your time at the restaurant or avoid this place at all if you do not wish to be treated disrespectfully.
Ps: Our original server "Suti" (pregnant 7 months) was...
