Mazu Beach Club Bali — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

It would be the best place in Balangan to spend the day because it is the only one with a pool by the sea. However, the food and service are very bad. The waiters are friendly but poorly trained. They always stay in the covered bar area and you have to make an effort to call them. They are not able to remove empty bottles, glasses and plates from the tables unless you ask them to. I have been going here for a few months only because of the convenience of having a pool, shower and bathroom. The place is poorly maintained, the pool tiles are very dirty and the lounge chairs at the bottom of the pool are broken. The manager has a complete lack of concern for how to take care of the place, offer good service and ensure the quality of the food, in addition to being grumpy and never interacting with customers to get feedback and try to improve. To make matters worse, they have terrible taste in music. The DJ on Sunday afternoons plays music that is more like a nightclub than a sunset vibe. Today we were kicked out because the music was too bad and loud, clashing with the mood of what should have been a beautiful evening. The waiters' lack of attention is a sign of poor management of the place. It's a shame because it had everything it needed to be amazing, but it's not. Always empty, even on a sunny weekend during high season. I've been in Bali for five months and this is the only place I've been to where the food is bad. it’s always a shame to write a bad review but …

on the positive side the decor is good but when the seats are filled with rain water and it hasn’t rained the whole day you know the staff aren’t paying attention.

had to wait 20 minutes for a beer and that’s only because i had to get up and go to the bar. all the staff were chatting amongst themselves rather than doing their jobs.

but the worst was they decided they needed live music. and you wouldn’t believe it but the band arrived around 6ish. the music was then turned off and the band then spent the next 45 minutes setting up and doing sound checks ! at sunset on a saturday night !! now i’m no expert but shouldn’t they have set up earlier and allowed the paying customers to enjoy the sunset with a few chill out tunes ?

i wouldn’t go back and would not recommend it either based on the service standards. they have NO idea what they are doing.

The atmosphere of Mazu beach club is beautiful, from the modern beach club, to the amazing view of the beach with the sunset to the amazing live band playing. The staff of mazu beach club provided excellent service taking our orders from our daybeds and the pool which was so convenient. The staff were also very happy and attentive to any questions I had which was great. The food and drink was great, we came at 4pm which was happy hour for beer and cocktails which was perfect as we got 4 each for only 165,000! The food was great we ordered chips and vegetable spring roll which came out hot and fresh which I could tell was made on the spot, they were delicious. As we spent over 500,000 we got the chance to enter the lucky dip and we won a free pizza! This was amazing and we were very grateful for the staff for this gesture.
