I visited this spot on a Thursday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, and the place wasn’t too crowded, which made it a perfect time to enjoy a relaxed meal. I started off with the pumpkin soup, which was beautifully creamy, full of flavor, and served at just the right temperature. It had a comforting, homemade quality to it that made it a standout starter.
For the main course, I chose the chicken rice bowl and a side of loaded fries. The rice bowl came in a generous portion and was packed with flavor, tender chicken, nicely seasoned rice, and fresh veggies. It felt well-balanced and satisfying without being too heavy. The loaded fries, although quite a small portion compared to the other dishes, were packed with a spicy, cheesy kick that made them really enjoyable.
The only real downside to my visit came at the end, when it was time to pay. I was surprised to see that they add an additional 3% charge for card payments, on top of the already standard service fee and tax. It’s the first time I’ve encountered this in Bali, and while it’s not a deal-breaker, it does feel a bit off-putting. For that reason, I give this place 4...
Read moreSandpiper Bali is a well designed cozy cafe that entices you to sit and stay awhile. The cafe offers indoor and outdoor seating, and boasts a large upstairs area with a pool table and great music.
The motto “Hakuna Ma’Coffee” is proven with the high quality coffee selection. The flat white is smooth and strong. The hazelnut latte is lovely! Sandpiper Bali has an extensive international menu featuring breakfast, sliders, meals, toasts, soups, smoothie bowls and more. The mango smoothie bowl was refreshing and delicious. The avocado toast was creamy and filling. The fish slider was memorable. The spinach was fresh, flavorful, and a decent portion size. An unexpected treat was the white almond pot nut (potato donut) which had a nice chewy texture and was not overly sweet.
Sandpiper Bali provides a relaxing environment which is enhanced by a great playlist. The staff are attentive, kind, and warm. We arrived on rainy day and were greeted at the entrance by umbrellas - a beautiful touch. A great workspace for the digital nomad, chill place for the traveler, and a repeat visit for anyone. I enjoyed my visit and highly recommend...
Read moreWe’ve been in Bali for over three weeks and had some amazing local food. The flavors, the smells, and of course the Balinese spice. All of these are just wonderful, but sometimes it’s time for some comfort food and Sandpiper delivers just that. We showed up for dinner and were greeted by the nicest people. They have a great upstairs with a large television and pool table. There’s plenty of seating, but we chose downstairs which also has plenty of seating, but is air conditioned. The coffee selection is great and the Barista knows his stuff. My partner and I had the Sandpiper Salad with Sesame Dressing and the sliders (Chicken Parmesan and BBQ Pulled Pork) served with fries. Our meals were tasty and portions were spot on. We were full, but we were determined to try their Banana French Toast served with vanilla ice cream and topped with an amazing caramel sauce. Breakfast is served all day so there were no problems. OMGosh it was the perfect end to our meal. I hope that I’ll have a chance to return before I leave Bali; but if not I have a great meal to remember. You should make a point to stop buy Sandpiper for breakfast,...
