Thank you Movenpick for our wonderful stay - it was a lovely birthday and 10 year wedding anniversary celebration for us. From the moment you arrive, you can see the beauty of this resort particularly looking down at the pool area from the Lobby - stunning. The kids also loved the entrance slide, which beautifully ly made and great way for kids to have fun whilst waiting for taxis.
Our highlight is definitely the stunning pool with beautiful flowers - my daughter enjoyed collecting flowers to place in her hair. The pool temperature was perfect - even nicer in the afternoon when the sun has heated it up.
My husband and I did a Couples Spa and was treated by lovely therapists - Artini and her friend which I am unsure how it is spelt. They made sure we had a blissful 2 hours before returning to the kids. The spa centre itself us gorgeous and very instagrammable.
The kids thoroughly enjoyed the Kids Club and wanted to go evert day. There's lots of different activities, some cost extra. Beware of the slide for adults because gravity sure makes you go fast. I burnt my elbow going down whilst holding my daughter.
The beach access is very close too- right down the back, which we only discovered on the last day.
Breakfast - there was plenty of options, however the flavours and variety on a day to day basis were not as good as other hotels at this price range where they would swap out different menu items over a 1 week period so that guests don't get bored.
Points of interest: My son accidentally tripped and hit his chin on the little stage with musical instruments near the lobby, and as he hit his chin, he bit into his lip, causing two lacerations. It wasn't a serious injury thankfully. The staff were very helpful in helping to get ice and even called the doctor to check his lip, and gave the ok. The Hotel then sent up a platter of fruits to wish his speedy recovery- which made him feel special. So thank you for that.
We'd like to give some feedback on the kids club. As they do offer Playstation and ninentdo switches to play, my son really enjoyed it and wanted to show me something the following day, before we were to board a flight. However, we didn't know they had set times to bring the games out. My Son was very excited to go kids club on our last morning to show me this Mario party game, but was so disappointed to discover they do not take out the game until 11am which we'll be at the airport. Unfortunately the staff didn't let him play despite me pleading for just a short while since we were going to go, which resulted in a lot of tears. It was such a sad ending to leave on tears from a wonderful stay. It was even sadder that the staff didn't help me with giving other options or try to entertain my daughter whilst I was trying to calm him down. I was quite upset as the other days they were all very helpful. But instead they just chatted with each other whilst I dealt with his emotions. Anyways, this is just some feedback to please have clear rules on those electronic items so that parents can also understand when they're available or not as the schedule doesn't stipulate that.
Movenpick is also really close to jimbaran beach we did a sunset dinner on the beach ,which was just beautiful.highly recommend.
Overall, I would recommend this family friendly resort and thank the staff for a...
Read moreThis is a beautiful family-friendly property with excellent facilities, including a lovely pool, rooftop bar, and convenient access to nearby cafés and shops. Our family particularly enjoyed the daily chocolate hour, and the property offers stunning views with many thoughtful features. The security team at the gate deserves special recognition for their humility and warm welcome – they truly set the right tone for guests. Unfortunately, the same level of quality was not reflected across other areas of service. Check-in took over 20 minutes despite us completing the online process beforehand. While we understand 3 PM is a busy time, such delays point to poor organisation. A similar situation occurred at checkout, where we waited another 20 minutes due to a known billing issue. It is concerning that management has not resolved this in advance, leaving guests to deal with unnecessary delays. A simple apology in these circumstances does not feel adequate. Staff interactions overall lacked warmth and hospitality. The only exception was the Accor membership marketing team, who were polite but far too persistent, often approaching guests in the lobby or breakfast restaurant in a way that felt intrusive rather than welcoming. Breakfast was particularly disappointing and did not meet the standard expected of a property of this level. Cost-cutting measures were evident, from chipped and cracked plates to limited food quality. Coffee service was inconsistent – orders had to be followed up multiple times, and the result was a machine-made coffee rather than freshly prepared barista coffee. Restaurant staff appeared untrained and disengaged. Compared to other cafes and meals at this property, this breakfast was the weakest experience we’ve had in years. The pool bar was also a letdown, offering poor-quality food and drinks at prices higher than what we pay at premium five-star resorts in Australia – very difficult to justify given the standard delivered. Bathrooms and fittings in the rooms require urgent maintenance, as signs of wear and neglect are evident. On arrival, we noticed stained bed linen. While minor, this reflects a lack of attention to detail and quality control. This is also the only property we have experienced where staff did not give way to guests when entering lifts or at entrances – a small but noticeable reflection of service culture. Lastly, the “special family room promotion” offering a second room at 50% felt misleading. I initially booked under this offer but later cancelled and rebooked without it, which resulted in a higher-category room with breakfast included at better value. When I compared costs, it became clear that the promotion reduced value instead of adding it. I strongly encourage management to avoid such tactics and focus instead on transparent pricing and fair sales practices. In summary: this property has wonderful potential, but it is held back by poor management, untrained staff, and an overemphasis on cost-cutting at the expense of guest experience. While we enjoyed the facilities and location, the overall stay did not reflect the quality or value expected from a premium Accor property. Unfortunately, we would not...

Hotel is very kids friendly with the best kids club I've ever seen thus far, a giant inflatable in the pool just for kids and a dedicated kids pool + slide. There is also a small enclosure for rabbits + 2 in house dogs (a golden retriever and labrador retriever). Kids love the slide from the lobby to the drop off porch too.
Food spread/variety during breakfast at Anarasa Restaurant is decent and there's a small food + sitting area just for kids (where there's a TV and cartoons). Outside of breakfast, meals are good value with the Accor Plus discount (50% for 2 pax). Quality is average though and comparatively, Sofitel Nusa Dua offers a much higher quality.
Daily Chocolate Hour at 4pm for kids and adults alike where you can enjoy chocolate, fruits, cotton candy, profiteroles, churros, donuts, popcorn and of course chocolate fountains (1 white and 1 milk). Whilst Chocolate Hour seems like a consistent offering across Movenpicks, there seems to be slight variations across hotels. Eg. The one in the Maldives offers a variety of ice cream in lieu of chocolate fountains.
Service is great throughout, especially at Anarasa. We had enquired about Kuih Dardar one morning during breakfast but it had run out. A certain gentleman (Pak Pende I believe) remembered and arranged a plate for us the next morning even though it wasn't part of the breakfast rotation. That is exemplary service in my humble opinion.
Hotel is located a 5min walk to the beach and there is a small enclave just next to it with a Chinese restaurant (Foek Lam), Wahaha Pork Ribs (ribs and fried rice are pretty good), Pho Thin (Vietnamese), Timezone (arcade) and some small cafes serving coffee, donuts and gelato. It's also a ~$2 (25,000 IDR) grab ride to Sidewalk Mall where there's a premium supermarket and quite a few other eateries (do give Chon Matcha a shot if you appreciate tea drinks).
CONS -
Hotel is close to 9 years old but is showing signs of aging, especially in the room we were assigned. Our toilet door was misaligned so it couldn't fully close and the toilet door frames were rusting at both bottom corners. The common areas seem to be well maintained though.
During one of our breakfasts, we witnessed a serving tong drop onto the floor in the sliced cakes section and a staff member picking it up and placing it back. I could be wrong but this seems like a hygiene issue?
The Virtual Assistant function doesn't seem to be functioning well. It worked well when we requested for Housekeeping but failed to deliver when we requested for bottled water the next time round. After waiting close to 4 hours for the water, we decided to do it the old fashioned way - speaking to the housekeeping person who was cleaning a room along our corridor.
Nonetheless still a great stay and we would return, especially for the kids facilities and very competitive pricing vis a vis Sofitel Bali which was 50% more expensive for our dates when we booked.
Do note that extra beds are currently charged at IDR 550K per...
