We came here to celebrate my father-in-law’s birthday, and the entire experience was amazing! The reservation process via WhatsApp was super quick and friendly.
When we arrived at the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by the staff and the owner, Geraldine. She is so sweet and thoughtful! Since I wasn’t too familiar with the menu, she patiently explained everything with a smile and even recommended dishes based on my preferences, which turned out to be an excellent choice.
When the food arrived, it looked incredible—and tasted even better! Truly some of the best food we’ve ever had. The drinks were equally impressive; both the cocktails and mocktails were perfectly crafted and refreshing. We also enjoyed a bottle of wine, which paired beautifully with the meal—it was absolutely delicious and added to the experience.
And the dessert? Oh my goodness, it was heavenly! I still think about it—it’s honestly the best dessert I’ve ever had. Geraldine and her staff went above and beyond by surprising my father-in-law with a dessert, complete with candles and a birthday song. This thoughtful gesture made the celebration even more special.
After we finished, Geraldine personally checked in to make sure we had enjoyed everything, which was such a nice touch.
The service here is top-notch, the food is divine, the wine is exceptional, and the atmosphere is so welcoming. We’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this gem to all our friends. Thank you so much for making our celebration unforgettable!

Read moreOur recent dining experiences at La Brasserie, near our hotel Intercontinental, exceeded all expectations and unfolded as a delightful surprise in Bali. This hidden gem brought the flavours of France to life, with dishes that transported me back to the heart of French cuisine. The fish soup with its rouille was a symphony of flavours, and the beef bourguignon showcased brilliance in every bite. The gratin's creaminess and cheesiness were beyond words, while the mashed potatoes garnered unanimous approval, especially from my kids, prompting us to go as often as we could until our departure. The food was far superior to the hotel food.
Adding to the allure of La Brasserie was the presence of the owner, Genevieve, whose super-friendly demeanour and meticulous oversight ensured perfection in every aspect. I enjoyed chatting to her in French. Her genuine warmth and kindness left an indelible mark, accompanied by a sincere and welcoming smile. Beyond being a charming culinary spot, La Brasserie stands as a testament to heartfelt hospitality. Undoubtedly, it is a hidden treasure in Bali that will forever be etched in our...

The restaurant is owner is a French woman who explained to us her vision of putting together a traditional menu, that she ensures is only on the menu if it is up to her standards! And I can assure you, her standards are high!
The food here was amazing! We started with a French Onion Soup, followed by a Beef Bourguignon and Shepard's Pie, followed by a Profiterole. The food had intense and rich flavours, so be sure to enjoy it with a glass of wine or other drink to cut some of it down to your liking!
The service was exceptional! The waitresses were very attentive and you can notice that the owner has ensured that her staff were trained to show a level of French demeanor and professionalism, as well as perfect pronunciation of the French menu items.
Please remember though, this restaurant currently only accepts cash. And due to the cost of the items, ensure you bring enough. Otherwise there is a short 100m walk down the road, through a somewhat busy but unlit road to an ATM!
Other than that, this restaurant was a...
