Pizzeria Romana Bali offers Italian cuisine in a family-friendly, relaxed atmosphere at reasonable prices. The serving sizes are generous, with a wide variety of dishes on offer to cater for all palates, the ingredients are fresh, and the staff are warm and welcoming.
I ordered the pork pepperoni pizza. The base is thin and chewy - personally I would have preferred the pizza to be cooked just a little longer for extra crispiness on the base, as it was a tad floppy. The flavor of the toppings was balanced and subtle. A basket with olive oil, chili oil (sadly not spicy) and balsamic vinegar for drizzling is provided at each table, along with ground black pepper, and ketchup.
For something different I also tried the pizza goreng - an entree-sized fried pizza dough, topped with a tomato salsa, fresh mozzarella, basil and black pepper. The dough was tasty, and combined with the freshness of the tomatoes, mozzarella, and herbs, it made for a pleasant dish.
The decor is bright, with plenty of seating, in addition to a well-kept grassed area shaded by trees with additional seating, perfect for late afternoon or evening dining, ample off-street parking, and with easy-listening background music providing an enjoyable ambience to enjoy a meal with friends and family.
I highly recommend Pizzeria Romana Bali if youâre in the mood for a relaxed Italian cuisine...
Read morea report for an " italian restaurant" in south Bali. I well know the italian-food-fashion despite the pandemie, is still strong. Some place are really good, some others are only poor style (I'll speak about in the future ). I already wrote I m travelling across Bali since many years and well know the many resto, warung, slow and fast food. Sometimes it appens to found some new or just real italian style food, this is the case of Pizzeria Romana. The owner Umberto is coming from Rome sothat the name, but don't think that he serves just pizza, I can assure that the many "pasta" offered are superior. I tried "ravioli al pesto" a typical plate 100% home made, and i can assure that he's producing the ricotta cheese and basil that are main ingredients as well as the ravioli-pasta. I wish to take more time to explain the real passion of the whole staff for the genuine food. The place: the entry just in the middle turn and offer a medium/small parking. Inside you can find a "pergola" and a very big garden. The ambient is quite, friendly and sometimes with live-music. A nice anti mosquitos spray is placed on the tables. The waiting time is ok. Pls don't forget that the italian coocking time for the pasta is carefully respected sothat always "al dente". The prices are at the level, about 10% above average, but absolutely...

Had a bruschetta with tomato and avocado as starter which was nice. Olive oil they used is worth mentioning as it was definitely of good quality (fresh green intense taste). Some fresh ground black pepper on top would have been nice, but there was no pepper mill, only a pepper shaker with already ground and therefore tasteless pepper ... well đ
Pizza Diavola was ok, too. Thick and nicely bloated dow on the rim but thin in the middle with nice chewy texture (I like it that way), tomato sauce well seasoned. Yet the sausage was not spicy at all and the chunks of bellpeppers looked a bit lost on the Pizza. Would have chopped them finer, as I do not like the taste of raw bellpepper... but ok, that's just me.
All in all food was above average and worth the money, yet with a bit more attention it would be really nice!
4 stars for the food, 3 for the ambiance of the place.
Might come back for the Pizza, but not for...
