Warung Batan Bekul is an absolute gem for anyone seeking authentic Balinese seafood at local prices. From the moment you step in, the warm, traditional ambiance makes you feel right at home. The restaurant exudes a charming, homey vibe that perfectly complements its delicious offerings.
The food here is nothing short of spectacular. Every dish is a celebration of bold, local flavors, and the spices are so vibrant they instantly lift your spirits. Two standout dishes for me are the Udang Suna Cekuh and Pepes Ikan. The Udang Suna Cekuh (prawns with garlic and Balinese spices) is a flavor explosion, with the perfect balance of heat and aroma. The Pepes Ikan (spiced fish wrapped in banana leaves) is equally delightful, tender, and packed with traditional flavors that leave you craving more. Every bite feels like a compliment to the chef’s skill and the freshness of the ingredients.
The service at Warung Batan Bekul is exceptional. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel like part of the family. Their warmth and hospitality truly enhance the dining experience.

Read moreOne of the best places I ever visited in Bali. I definitely will come back, and this is a 100% honest review.
Near Tanjung Benoa, so after having a water sport there, this place is the best for lunch.
The place is a bit hidden. The road to get there can be accessed by car, but the road is not paved but on a field. At first, I doubted there was a way there, so I got a little lost. From the outside, there really isn't any sign of a place to eat, so just trust Google Maps even though the road is a little out of the way.
The place is semi-outdoor with a local ambiance and calming.
Serving time was kinda slow, abt 10-15 minutes per dish. It is because they made it by themselves and every dish is fresh. But all the waiting time was worth it!
The food was the best! I really love the sambal because it is really fresh and tasty, I also ask for additional sambal. All the food is 5/5 stars! All dishes served are very delicious, fresh, and have memorable tastes. I tried every dish that was available at that time. Only 3 dish that avail, some people said, you need to have a reservation to make sure have a slot for the dish...

The seafood is incredibly fresh and beautifully seasoned. The grilled fish was the absolute highlight — soft yet firm, perfectly cooked with that rich, smoky flavor. The suna cekuh squid was also full of depth, with delicious Balinese seasoning.
What makes this place even more special is the story behind the freshness — they source their seafood directly from local fishermen, and if they can’t get a fresh catch, they simply won’t open that day. So the quality is always guaranteed.
The warung is set outdoors, which is another big plus. You don’t have to worry about the smell of smoke from the grill sticking to your clothes, and you get to enjoy a refreshing breeze while dining.
The prices are very affordable too, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. I’m definitely coming back and will be recommending this spot to friends and family.
A must-visit if you’re looking for authentic, fresh seafood in a laid-back...
